The famous Saudi commentator “The New Era [al-‘Ahd al-Ğadīd]” revealed that the murder of “ ‘Abd al-‘Azīz al-Faġam”, personal bodyguard of the Saudi King “Salmān ibn ‘Abd al-‘Azīz”, happened during his assassination attempt against the Crown Prince, “Muḥammad ibn Salmān”.

All that happened in a series of comments on the account that describes itself as “transmitter and evaluator of the events of change in the new era close to the rooms of the decisions and tries to whisper from there.”
According to the official version, which was doubted by many, who followed the events, “al-Faġam” was killed last September by his friend “Mamdūḥ Āl ‘Alī”, who was later killed by the bullets of the security.
The account commented, saying he will refute many of the official stories about the murder of General al-Faġam, amongst these that “the events took place in the as-Salām Palace, and not in the home of al-Faġam’s friend.” Also “Mamdūḥ Āl ‘Alī” had noting to do with the murder of al-Faġam, instead they were killed together.”
The “New Era” pointed to the fact that “al-Faġam and Āl ‘Alī were not the only ones, but instead a number of officers were wounded alongside them, and also al-Faġam was not deposed from his post before his death.”
The Saudi account blew a surprise, when it said that generals “al-Faġam” and “Āl ‘Alī” were killed by “Blackwater” forces, during their attack, which was aided by 11 other officers, to assassinate “Ibn Salmān.”
He added that: “The Blackwater mercenaries managed to foil the assassination operation in the last seconds, after they killed al-Faġam and Āl ‘Alī, and wounded the remaining officers taking part in the operation.”
“The New Era” added: “General al-Faġam and his team managed to get through the first security barrier, which precedes the arrival to Ibn Salmān, and a clash took place between then and the Blackwater mercenaries at the second.”
It continued: “Ibn Salmān was not hit by anything, but the sounds and the bullets were enough to scare him.”
“The New Era” account promised more detailed informations on the assassination attempt later.
About these informations, “why does a person like al-Faġam tries to kill Muḥammad ibn Salmān? How did the cooperation took place between the officers? Was it revealed before or during the operation? Where were those officers taken, who got wounded during the operation? What is their faith? Why was it spread that al-Faġam was deposed days before his murder?”
“Al-Faġam” was the personal bodyguard of King “ ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abd al-‘Azīz” (1924-2015), and after his death he became the personal bodyguard of King “Salmān”.
According to what the Saudi authorities said General “al-Faġam” was killed while he was visiting his friend, “Turkī ibn ‘Abd al-‘Azīz as-Sabtī” in his home in a beachside neighborhood in Jidda. There a common friend named “Mamdūḥ Āl ‘Alī” came to them. During the conversation the talk between “al-Faġam” and “Āl ‘Alī” turned bitter and the later left the apartment. He came back with a gun in his possession and opened fire upon “al-Faġam”.
Those following the events and Twitter users doubted the official Saudi story about the coating of the crime. Some of them questioned the reason why security forces were present outside the apartment at the time of the event, and about the immediate killing of the criminal to close the issue, according to them.
The murder of “al-Faġam” caused widespread guesses that the operation of his killing did not take place accordingly to the official story. Many commentators here pointed to the possibility that it was an elimination operation caused by the doubt of loyalty, as he opposed the policies of the Crown Prince “Muḥammad ibn Salmān” about the war on Yemen.
Previously the Saudi commentator “Deligent [Muğtahid]” talked about another story about the murder of “al-Faġam”. He said that “the latter was in the palace at the time of the incident and not with his friend. Ibn Salmān considers al-Faġam to be from the old guard, which is loyal to the Saudi household in general, yet he did not his commitment to him personally. Ibn Salmān many times repeated his wish to distance him.”
This is not the first that “The New Era” account talks about assassination attempt on “Ibn Salmān” as previously he exposed that on January 2018 “Ibn Salmān” survived two assassination attempts.
Before that “The New Era” in October 2017 revealed that “Ibn Salmān” fears to be assassinated, and only trusts the Crown Prince of Abū Zabī, “Muḥammad ibn Zāyid”, whom he regards as his mentor and supporter.
The royal house in Saudi Arabia lived through unprecedented divisions because of “Ibn Salmān’s” attempt to get rid of anyone, who opposes his ascendence to power.
Previously a huge leak was exposed, in which the elder princes of the “Saud family” opposed handing over the rulership of the country to “Ibn Salmān”.
The crises also grew in the kingdom with the assassination of the journalist “Ğamāl Hašoqğī” in the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul, Turkey. Which happened after months of purging operations accusing princes and major businessmen with “corruption”, before most of them were released after depriving them from their wealth and questioning by the authorities.

كشف المغرد السعودي الشهير “العهد الجديد”، إن مقتل “عبدالعزيز الفغم” حارس الملك السعودي “سلمان بن عبدالعزيز”، جاء خلال محاولته اغتيال ولي العهد الأمير “محمد بن سلمان”
جاء ذلك، في سلسلة تغريدات للحساب الذي يصف نفسه بأنه “راصد ومحلل لمظاهر التغيير في العهد الجديد قريب من غرف صناعة القرار ويحاول الهمس من هناك
وقتل “الفغم” في سبتمبر/أيلول الماضي، على يد صديقه “ممدوح آل علي”، الذي قتل لاحقا برصاص الأمن، حسب الرواية الرسمية التي شكك فيها الكثير من المتابعين
وغرد الحساب، قائلا إن سيدحض عدداً من الروايات الرسمية المتعلقة بمقتل اللواء الفغم، ومنها أن “الحادثة وقعت في قصر السلام وليس في منزل صديق الفغم”، و”لا علاقة لممدوح آل علي بمقتل الفغم بل قُتلا سويا
ولفت “العهد الجديد”، إلى أن “الفغم وآل علي ليسا الوحيدين بل جُرح عدد من الضباط معهم، كما أنه لم يعفَ الفغم من منصبه قبل وفاته”
وفجر الحساب السعودي، مفاجأة، عندما قال إن اللواء “الفغم” و”آل علي”، قتلا بنيران قوات “بلاك ووتر”، في هجومهما الذي تم تدبيره برفقة 11 ضابطاً آخر لاغتيال “إبن سلمان”
وأضاف: “استطاع مرتزقة بلاك ووتر إفشال عملية الاغتيال في اللحظات الأخيرة، بعد أن قتلوا الفغم وآل علي، وأصابوا بقية الضباط المشاركين في العملية”
وزاد “العهد الجديد”: “استطاع اللواء الفغم وفريقه تجاوز الحاجز الأمني الأول الذي يسبق الوصول لإبن سلمان، ووقع الاشتباك بينهم وبين مرتزقة بلاك ووتر في الحاجز الثاني
وتابع: “لم يصب إبن سلمان بشيء، لكن الأصوات والرصاص كانت كفيلة بإرعابه
ووعد حساب “العهد الجديد”، بمعلومات أكثر تفصيلية عن محاولة الاغتيال، لاحقا
ومن هذه المعلومات، “لماذا يحاول شخص مثل الفغم قتل محمد بن سلمان؟، وكيف تمّ التنسيق بين الضباط؟، وهل كُشفوا قبل أم أثناء العملية؟، وإلى أين نُقل الضباط الذين جُرحوا أثناء العملية؟، وما مصيرهم؟، ولماذا أشيع أن الفغم تمت إقالته قبل مقتله بأيام؟”
وكان “الفغم”، حارسا شخصيا للملك “عبدالله بن عبدالعزيز” (1924-2015)، وبعد وفاته أصبح حارسا شخصيا للملك “سلمان”
ووفقا لما قالته السلطات السعودية، فقد قتل اللواء “الفغم”، بينما كان في زيارة لصديقه “تركي بن عبدالعزيز السبتي”، بمنزله بحي الشاطئ بمحافظة جدة، حيث دخل عليهما صديق مشترك يدعي “ممدوح بن مشعل آل علي”، وأثناء الحديث تطور النقاش بين “الفغم” “وآل علي”، فخرج الأخير من المنزل، وعاد وبحوزته سلاح ناري وأطلق النار على “الفغم”
وشكك مراقبون ومغردون عبر “تويتر”، بالرواية الرسمية السعودية حول ملابسات الجريمة، وتساءل بعضهم عن سبب وجود قوات الأمن خارج المنزل وقت الحادث، وعن قتل الجاني مباشرة لإغلاق الملف، حسب قولهم
وأثار مقتل “الفغم”، تكهنات واسعة بأن عملية مقتله لم تكن مطابقة للرواية الرسمية، حيث أشار مغردون إلى احتمال أن تكون عملية تصفية لشكوك في الولاء، بسبب اعتراضات على سياسات ولي العهد “محمد بن سلمان” بشأن حرب اليمن
وسبق أن تحدث المغرد السعودي “مجتهد”، عن رواية أخرى حول مقتل “الفغم”، وقال إن “الأخير كان في القصر وقت الحادث، وليس مع صديق، وإن إبن سلمان يعتبر الفغم من الحرس القديم الذي يوالي آل سعود عموما، ولا يثق بإخلاصه له شخصيا، كما أن بن سلمان ردد أكثر من مرة رغبته في إبعاده”
وهذه ليست المرة الأولى التي يتحدث فيها حساب “العهد الجديد”، عن محاولة اغتيال لـ”إبن سلمان”، حيث سبق أن كشف في يناير/كانون الثاني 2018، عن نجاة “بن سلمان”، من محاولتي اغتيال
وسبق أن كشف “العهد الجديد”، في أكتوبر/تشرين الأول 2017، أن “إبن سلمان”، يخشى اغتياله، ولا يثق إلا في ولي عهد أبوظبي “محمد بن زايد”، الذي يعتبره أستاذه وسندا له
وتعيش الأسرة الحاكمة في السعودية على وقع خلافات غير مسبوقة، بسبب محاولة “بن سلمان”، التخلص من كل رافضي انتقال السلطة إليه
وسبق أن تم تسريب عريضة، وجهها كبار أمراء “آل سعود” إلى الملك “سلمان”، اعتراضا على تسليم قيادة البلاد لـ”بن سلمان”
كما تصاعدت الأزمات في المملكة، مع اغتيال الصحفي السعودي “جمال خاشقجي”، دخل قنصلية السعودية في إسطنبول التركية، والتي جاءت بعد أشهر من حملة اعتقالات طالبت أمراء ورجال أعمال بارزين بدعوى “الفساد”، قبل أن يتم إطلاق سراح أغلبهم بعد تنالهم عن أموال وإجراء تسويات مع السلطات
