Qatar condemns the statements of Lebanese Information Minister George Qurdāḥī and the Sultanate of Oman expresses its regret for the relations between a number of Arab states and Lebanon reached a crisis.
The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement of his expressed today, on Saturday its regrets for the relations between a number of Arab states Lebanon met with a crisis and called all for restraint and work to prevent escalation.

Also Qatar condemned the statements of Lebanese Information Minister George Qurdāḥī and in a statement today called for calming the situation and speeding up the prevention of escalation between brothers.

Following the statements of Qurdāḥī Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait asked the Lebanese ambassadors to leave their territories within 48 hours.
Also Emirati Minister of the State Halīfa Šāhīn al-Marar in a statement today, on Saturday said that the Emirates decided to recall its ambassador from Lebanon and to prevent its citizens from traveling there.
Commenting the Gulf turmoil Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Fayṣal ibn Farḥān today said that “Ḥizb Allah’s supremacy” is the reason for the current crisis in the relations between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.
Previously the statements of Lebanese Information Minister George Qurdāḥī were published, in which he described the war on Yemen as “treacherous”, adding that “the Anṣār Allah group is defending itself against the foreign aggression against Yemen for years”. This matter is what caused international and local reactions.
In the same context Lebanese Foreign Minister ‘Abd Allah Bū Ḥabīb in an interview with al-Mayadeen on Saturday said that “the resignation of Minister Qurdāḥī is a decision only he possesses”. At the same time Lebanese Prime Minister Nağīb Mīqātī expressed yesterday, on Friday his regrets for the decision of Saudi Arabia about Lebanon, hoping that it “will revise its decision”. Thus confirming the continuation “of working to repair what has to be repaired”.

قطر تستنكر تصريحات وزير الإعلام اللبناني جورج قرداحي، وسلطنة عمان تعرب عن أسفها لتأزم العلاقات بين عدد من الدول العربية ولبنان
أعربت وزارة الخارجية العمانية فى بيان لها اليوم السبت عن أسفها لتأزم العلاقات بين عدد من الدول العربية ولبنان، ودعت الجميع إلى ضبط النفس والعمل على تجنّب التصعيد.
كذلك استنكرت قطر تصريحات وزير الإعلام اللبناني جورج قرداحي. ودعت في بيان لها اليوم إلى تهدئة الأوضاع والمسارعة في رأب الصدع بين الأشقاء.
وعقب تصريحات قرداحي، طلبت السعودية و البحرين والكويت من سفيريها اللبنانيين مغادرة أراضيها خلال 48 ساعة.
كما قال وزير الدولة الإماراتي، خليفة شاهين المرر، في بيان اليوم السبت، إنّ الإمارات “قررت سحب دبلوماسييها من لبنان ومنع مواطنيها من السفر إليه”.
وتعليقاً على التوتر الخليجي، قال وزير الخارجية السعودي، الأمير فيصل بن فرحان، اليوم، إنّ “هيمنة حزب الله” هي سبب الأزمة الحالية في العلاقات بين السعودية ولبنان.
ونُشرت، في وقت سابق، تصريحات لوزير الإعلام اللبناني جورج قرداحي، وصف فيها حرب اليمن بـ”العبثية”، مضيفاً أنّ “جماعة أنصار الله تدافع عن نفسها في وجه اعتداء خارجي على اليمن منذ سنوات”، الأمر الذي أثار ردود فعل دولية ومحلية.
وفي السياق، قال وزير الخارجية اللبناني، عبد الله بو حبيب، في حديث إلى الميادين، اليوم السبت، إنّ “استقالة الوزير قرداحي قرار يملكه وحده”، بينما أبدى رئيس الوزراء اللبناني نجيب ميقاتي أبدى، أمس الجمعة، أسفه لقرار السعودية بشأن لبنان، متمنياً منها “إعادة النظر في قرارها”، ومؤكّداً مواصلة “العمل لمعالجة ما تجب معالجته”.
