Correspondent of al-Mayadeen Faraḥ ‘Umar and photographer Rabī‘ al-Mi‘mārī got martyred in an Israeli bombardment that targeted the village of Ṭayr Ḥarfā in Southern Lebanon.
The al-Mayadeen channel mourns the two colleagues who lost their lives in an Israeli bombardment that hit Southern Lebanon.
Out martyr correspondent Faraḥ ‘Umar had appeared in her last message during a direct coverage around half an hour before her death on the screen of al-Mayadeen, talking about the latest developments in the south.

Bin Ğiddū mourns colleagues Faraḥ ‘Umar and Rabī‘ al-Mi‘mārī
In this context, the Director of the Management Board at the al-Mayadeen channel Ġassān bin Ğiddū confirmed that “the colleagues Faraḥ ‘Umar and Rabī‘ al-Mi‘mārī got martyred by a direct Israeli targeted attack”.
Bin Ğiddū while mourning the two colleagues added that “the Occupation directly and absolutely intentionally targeted the crew of al-Mayadeen.
Directly to the Israeli Occupation, he continued: “I say to you, that you will not be able to silence the sound of al-Mayadeen and you should know that we shall continue however you killed our tried”.
He added saying: “We shall stay and continue with our honorable coverage and journalistic work that holds it among its priorities to cover the crimes of the Occupation in Gaza, in the West Bank, in Palestine, and in Lebanon”.
He underlined that “what is happening in Lebanon is a real war and real resistance that is fighting with resilience and force to support the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza”.
The targeted attack against one of the crews of al-Mayadeen in Southern Lebanon comes in the context of continued targeted attacks by the Occupation against the journalists in an intentional policy of covering the news and reporting the reality as it is.
On 13 October the Occupation targeted the journalists with a direct bombardment in the vicinity of ‘Almā aš-Ša‘ab village while they were covering the situation at the Lebanese border with the occupied Palestine. This led to the martyrdom of Reuters photographer ‘Iṣām ‘Abd Allah and the injury of others.

استشهدت مراسلة الميادين فرح عمر والمصور الذي يُرافقها ربيع المعماري في غارة إسرائيلية استهدفتهم في بلدة طيرحرفا جنوبي لبنان
ونعت قناة الميادين الزميلين اللذين ارتقيا بقصف إسرائيلي غادر جنوبي لبنان.
وكانت مراسلتنا الشهيدة فرح عمر قد ظهرت في رسالتها الأخيرة ضمن تغطية مباشرة قبل نحو ساعة من الآن على شاشة الميادين، متحدثةً عن آخر التطورات في الجنوب
بن جدو ينعى الزميلين فرح عمر وربيع المعماري
وفي هذا السياق، أكّد رئيس مجلس إدارة شبكة الميادين غسان بن جدو أنّ “الزميلين فرح عمر وربيع المعماري استشهدا من جراء استهداف إسرائيلي مباشر”.
وأضاف بن جدو، خلال نعيه الزميلين، أنّ “الاحتلال استهدف موكب الميادين بشكل مباشر ومقصود قطعاً”.
وتابع متوجهاً إلى الاحتلال الإسرائيلي: “أقول لك إنّك لن تستطيع إسكات صوت الميادين، ولتعلم أنّنا مستمرون مهما قتلت وحاولت”.
وأردف قائلاً: “باقون ومستمرون في تغطيتنا وعملنا الصحافي الشريف الذي تُعّد أولويته تغطية جرائم الاحتلال في غزة والضفة وفلسطين ولبنان”.
وشدّد على أنّ “ما يحصل في لبنان هو حرب حقيقية ومقاومة حقيقية تواجه بقوة وشهامة دعماً للمقاومة الفلسطينية في غزة”.
يأتي استهداف أحد طواقم الميادين في جنوبي لبنان في سياق استهداف الاحتلال المتواصل للطواقم الصحافية، في سياسة متعمدة لتعتيم الخبر ونقل الواقع كما هو.
وكان الاحتلال قد استهدف طواقم من الصحافيين في 13 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر الماضي بقصف مباشر في محيط بلدة علما الشعب أثناء تغطيتهم الوضع على الحدود بين لبنان وفلسطين المحتلة، ما أدّى إلى استشهاد مصور وكالة “رويترز” عصام عبد الله وإصابة آخرين
