Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has met with his Bahraini counterpart ‘Abd al-Laṭīf ibn Rāšid az-Ziyānī and says that his country takes efforts for the free cross over of the Ukrainian grain.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced on Tuesday that Moscow takes efforts for the free crossing of the Ukrainian grain, pointing out that what is important is that Kiev should defuse the mines in the regional waters.
During a press conference with his Bahraini counterpart ‘Abd al-Laṭīf ibn Rāšid az-Ziyānī Lavrov said: “We have talked about the situation in Ukraine and our friends asked us to provide the details about the latest events, including the food situation. We informed them about the measures the Russian side is taking for more than a month to insure the free crossing of the ships that are transporting Ukrainian grain. These ships are currently under siege in the Ukrainian ports”.
Lavrov continued: “If the problem of defusing the mines is resolved, which our Western colleagues pointed out then the Russian naval forces will ensure the crossing of these ships in the high seas to the Mediterranean and from there to their destinations”.
Lavrov confirmed from Manama that Russia and Bahrain agree on the need for Syria’s return to the Arab League.
As for the nuclear negotiations between Iran and the great powers, Lavrov said that “the position of Washington complicates the return to the JCPOA”.

Yesterday might the Russian Foreign Minister and Bahraini King Ḥamad ibn ‘Īsā Āl Halīfa discussed the bilateral ties between the two states.
The Bahraini news agency said that the Bahraini monarch welcomed Lavrov, who is visiting Manama, and with him discussed the bilateral ties between the two states and the ways how to strengthen and develop these in various fields.
It added that they also addressed “the latest developments of the regional and international situations and threats, including the situation in Ukraine”.

Earlier today two Gulf officials said that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia tomorrow, on Wednesday, where he will meet the foreign ministers of the GCC states”.

وزير الخارجية الروسي سيرغي لافروف يلتقي نظيره البحريني عبد اللطيف بن راشد الزياني، ويقول إنّ بلاده تبذل جهوداً من أجل العبور الحر للحبوب الأوكرانية
أعلن وزير الخارجية الروسي سيرغي لافروف، اليوم الثلاثاء، أنّ موسكو تبذل جهوداً من أجل العبور الحر للحبوب الأوكرانية، مشيراً إلى أنّ من المهم أن تقوم كييف بإزالة الألغام من المياه الإقليمية.
وقال لافروف خلال مؤتمر صحافي مع نظيره البحريني عبد اللطيف بن راشد الزياني: “لقد تحدثنا عن الأوضاع في أوكرانيا، وبطلب من أصدقائنا، أطلعناهم بالتفصيل على عواقب الأحداث الأخيرة، بما في ذلك وضع الأغذية. وأطلعناهم على الإجراءات التي يتخذها الجانب الروسي منذ أكثر من شهر لضمان العبور الحر للسفن الناقلة للحبوب الأوكرانية، وهي السفن المحاصرة في الوقت الحالي في الموانئ الأوكرانية”.
وتابع لافروف: “إذا تم حلّ مشكلة إزالة الألغام، والتي لفتنا إليها انتباه الزملاء الغربيين، فإنّ القوات البحرية الروسية ستضمن عبور تلك السفن في أعالي البحر إلى البحر المتوسط، ثم بعد ذلك إلى وجهاتها”.
وأكّد لافروف من المنامة أنّ روسيا والبحرين متفقتان على ضرورة عودة سوريا إلى الجامعة العربية.
وبشأن المفاوضات النووية بين إيران والدول الكبرى، قال لافروف إنّ “موقف واشنطن يعرقل استعادة خطة العمل الشاملة المشتركة
وليل أمس الإثنين، بحث وزير الخارجية الروسي وملك البحرين حمد بن عيسى آل خليفة العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين.
وقالت وكالة أنباء البحرين إنّ العاهل البحريني استقبل لافروف، الذي يزور المنامة، وبحث معه العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين وسبل تعزيزها وتنميتها في مختلف المجالات.
وأضافت أنّه جرى أيضاً بحث “آخر مستجدات الأوضاع والتحديات الإقليمية والدولية، ولا سيما الوضع في أوكرانيا
وفي وقت سابق اليوم، قال مسؤولان خليجيان إنّ وزير الخارجية الروسي سيرغي لافروف سيزور المملكة السعودية، غداً الأربعاء، حيث سيلتقي وزراء خارجية دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي
