Political commentator of the “Channel 12” Yaron Ibrahim confirmed that “this attempt is to gain favor on its part, and wants to increase its grasp on the thinking level. We know Naṣr Allah”. Pointing out that “the matter is the maritime border, and I will not go into the details of the agreement, but I will say that the signing between Lebanon and Israel is very very very close. What is left is only technical details”.
He continued: “Naṣr Allah will say that “I sent drones towards Kārīš” and that “I forced Israel to respond to the Lebanese demands. Because of me, this agreement was signed.” I believe they understand this on the security and military level”.
At the same time, the Israeli media said that “on the security and military levels they are aware that signing the agreement with Lebanon is closer than any time before. This will push the security stability forward”.
On his behalf, the Prime Minister of the Occupation’s government Yair Lapid pointed out “a probable agreement with Lebanon will yield a lot to the regional stability and will help it”.
Earlier the same day Lebanese President Mīšāl ‘Awn confirmed that the negotiations connected to the maritime borders drawing with “Israel” have reached their final stage.
The Israeli “Haaretz” newspaper mentioned on Monday that the United States of America proposed a new offer to “Israel” and Lebanon to solve the crisis of drawing the maritime borders, pointing out that the offer is connected border line that will go all along the maritime border between the two states in the Mediterranean.
Lapid pointed out that “extracting natural gas from the Kārīš is not connected to the negotiations and the platform will commence operations”. The Israeli media confirmed that “the speech we hear from Ḥizb Allah means that Israel was tricked. Why? Because Israel and the company that is supposed to extract the gas both said all along the last weeks that the extraction will start in September and now it is delayed to October”.
It should be pointed out that an insightful source revealed to al-Mayadeen on 11 September that the American envoy tasked with drawing the maritime borders Amos Hochstein presented Lebanon developments of the border line buoys explaining that these developments form the “last point that is discussed”. This is in preparation for sending a “complete offer”.
According to the announcement of the Israeli Energy Ministry last week that the preliminary examinations at the “Kārīš” oilfield seem to start next week, but that will include pumping gas via pipelines from the coastal area to the gas field and not the other way, as it is expected that the drilling will start in October.

من جانبه، أشار رئيس حكومة الاحتلال، يائير لابيد، إلى “اتفاق محتمل مع لبنان سيسهم كثيراً في الاستقرار الإقليمي وسيفيده
وفي وقتٍ سابق اليوم، أكّد الرئيس اللبناني، ميشال عون، أنّ المفاوضات المتعلقة بترسيم الحدود البحرية مع “إسرائيل”، أصبحت في مراحلها الأخيرة.
وكانت صحيفة “هآرتس” الإسرائيلية، ذكرت اليوم أنّ الولايات المتحدة الأميركية قدّمت عرضاً جديداً إلى “إسرائيل” ولبنان، لحل أزمة ترسيم الحدود البحرية، مشيرةً إلى أنّ المقترح يتعلق بالمسار المحدد الذي ستمرّ على طوله الحدود البحرية بين البلدين في البحر الأبيض المتوسط.
وفيما لفت لابيد إلى أنّ “استخراج الغاز من منصة كاريش غير مرتبط بالمفاوضات، والمنصة ستبدأ العمل”، أكدت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية أنّ “الخطاب الذي نسمعه من حزب الله يعني أنّ إسرائيل خضعت، لماذا، لأنهم في إسرائيل أو شركة أنرجين التي من المفترض أن تستخرج الغاز قالت طوال أسابيع إنّ الغاز سيستخرج في شهر أيلول/سبتمبر، والآن تم التأجيل إلى شهر تشرين الأول/أكتوبر”.
يُشار إلى أنّ مصدراً مطّلعاً كشف للميادين، في 11 أيلول/سبتمبر، أنّ المبعوث الأميركي لترسيم الحدود البحرية، آموس هوكستين، سلّم لبنان إحداثيات خط العوّامات البحرية، موضحاً أنّ هذه الإحداثيات تشكّل “النقطة الأخيرة التي يتمّ التفاوض عليها”، وذلك تحضيراً لإرسال “عرضه الكامل”.
ووفقاً لإعلان وزارة الطاقة الإسرائيلية، الأسبوع الماضي، يبدو أنّ الاختبارات الأولى في حقل “كاريش” ستبدأ، الأسبوع المقبل، لكنها ستشمل تدفق الغاز عبر خط أنابيب من الساحل إلى الحقل، وليس العكس، إذ من المحتمل أن يبدأ الحفر خلال شهر تشرين الأول/أكتوبر المقبل
