An Israeli security source acknowledges to the “Wallah” website that the “incorrect” Israeli assessments are led to naval attacks on Iranian vessels revealed and made it transform into open battle.
The “Wallah” website cited an Israeli security source today, on Wednesday, talking about the ongoing “naval war” between Iran and “Israel”.
The source said that “the extraordinary activities and the incorrect assessments by the Israeli army led to the transformation of the naval confrontation with Iran to a public one”. About the attack on an Israeli vessel close to the Emirates yesterday, on Tuesday, the source confirmed the necessity of “a relaxation and cooling of the situation. This is a naval clash lost already”.
The source added: “As it became clear by foreign information that the harassment of the oil tankers movement has been going around for a while on a secret and denied fashion, but at a certain time and because of the incorrect assessments and the extraordinary activities taken by the Israeli army this war is not a secret anymore and has transformed into a public one”.
According to the security source the by the result of the scandal of the Israeli hits the Iranians have become: “forced to admit them in the media. In result of these events we can assume that the Iranians increased the protection of their ships”.
The security source pointed out the ambush on the “Sāvīz” Iranian ship on the Red Sea describing the operation as a “mistake”, explaining that “whoever attacked it, did not assess correctly the repercussions and overlooked its importance in the Iranians’ view, so made mistake considering it a target”.
The Iranian ship “Sārvīz” suffered an attack at the coasts of Djibouti on 7 April this year, which led to its minor injury. By that, the Iranian authorities pointed the finger at “Israel”.
The American New York Times citing an Israeli official mentioned him saying that: “Israel does not intend a response by an attack on an Iranian vessel to curb the turmoil in the region”. This came a day after a hit on the Israeli “Hyperion Ray” ship. Insightful sources to al-Mayadeen reported yesterday, on Tuesday a hit on an Israeli ship close to the Emirate of al-Fuğayra in the UAE.
At the same time, the Israeli “KAN” channel has lately discussed the suggested scenarios about which the Israeli security organization is worried about in the “naval war” with Iran. The “channel 12” believed that “in a naval war with Iran, Israel put itself in a position in which it is the weaker”.

وقال المصدر إن “النشاطات الاستثنائية والتقديرات غير الصحيحة من قبل الجيش الإسرائيلي أدت إلى تحويل المواجهة البحرية مع إيران إلى علنية”. وبشأن مهاجمة سفينة إسرائيلية بالقرب من الإمارات، يوم أمس الثلاثاء، أكد المصدر على ضرورة “التهدئة وتبريد الوضع. إنها معركة بحرية خاسرة سلفاً
وأضاف المصدر: “كما تبين من المعلومات الأجنبية إن عرقلة إبحار ناقلات النفط جرى لفترة طويلة بشكل سري وضمن مساحة الإنكار، لكن في لحظة معينة وبسبب تقديرات غير صحيحة ونشاطات استثنائية قام بها الجيش الإسرائيلي لم تعد هذه المعركة سرية وتحولت إلى علنية
ونتيجة انفضاح أمر الاستهدافات الإسرائيلية صار الإيرانيون وفق المصدر الأمني “يضطرون إلى الإفادة عنها في وسائل الإعلام. ونتيجة لهذه الحوادث يمكن الافتراض أن الايرانيين زادوا من حماية سفنهم
وأشار المصدر الأمني إلى مهاجمة السفينة الإيرانية “سافيز” في البحر الأحمر، واصفاً العملية بأنها “خطأ”، موضحاً أن “من هاجمها لم يقدّر صحيحاً العواقب وتدني أهميتها في نظر الإيرانيين، وارتكبَ خطأً باعتبارها هدفاً
وتعرضت السفينة الإيرانية “سافيز” لهجوم قبالة سواحل جيبوتي، في 7 نيسان/أبريل الجاري، ما أدى لاصابتها بأضرار طفيفة، فيما وجهت السلطات الإيرانية أصابع الاتهام لـ”إسرائيل”.
وذكرت صحيفة “نيويورك تايمز” الأميركية، نقلاً عن مسؤول إسرائيلي، قوله إن “إسرائيل لا تنوي الرد بهجوم على سفينة إيرانية للحد من التوتر في المنطقة”، وذلك بعد يوم من استهداف سفينة “هايبييرن راي” الإسرائيلية، حيث أفادت مصادر مطلعة للميادين، أمس الثلاثاء، عن استهداف السفينة الإسرائيلية بالقرب من إمارة الفجيرة الإماراتية
