Israeli aggression against the airports of Damascus and Aleppo and the air defense confronts it.

The Syrian Air Defense confronted two Israeli aggressions against the airports of Damascus and Aleppo on Thursday. The correspondent of al-Mayadeen says that the runways of the two airports have been damaged. The Syrian Ministry of Defense considers the aggression as a desperate attempt to deter attention from its crimes in the Gaza Strip.

The correspondent of al-Mayadeen in Damascus reported that the Syrian Air Defense on Thursday confronted Israeli aggression against the airports of Damascus and Aleppo, while the reports say that the runways have gotten damaged.

Social media activists posted pictures and scenes about the attack against the two airports.

Following the aggression the Syrian Ministry of Transport announced rescheduling the flights that were planned to run from the airports of Damascus and Aleppo to start from Latakia International Airport, adding that its crew had started to survey the damages of the two airports’ runways and remove the effects of the Israeli aggression in preparation for its repairs.

The Syrian Ministry of Transport said in a statement after the aggression that “the Israeli enemy at the same time with the areal aggressions launched missile salvos against the international airports of Damascus and Aleppo”.

The Ministry pointed out that “the Israeli aggression led to damages of the runways of the airports of Damascus and Aleppo and rendering it out of service”.

It considered the aggression as “a desperate attempt by the criminal Israeli enemy to deter the attention away from its crimes in Gaza”.

The Syrian Defense Ministry believed that the aggression is “part of the continuing method of supporting the terrorist groups that we are fighting against and that are in fact an armed extension to the Israeli Entity”.

Two days prior insightful Syrian sources said that “the Occupation launched an artillery bombardment against Wādī Ğamla in the Eastern outskirts of Dar‘ā close to the southern part of the Occupied Golan Heights”. Thus pointing out that the area that was targeted by the Israeli bombardment is a set of valleys in front of the “Ramat Magshimim” settlement in the southern part of the Occupied Golan Heights”.

In a statement, Syria condemned “the barbaric acts of the Israeli Occupation against the Palestinian people”, underlining that “the response of the Resistance proves the right of the Palestinian people to set up its own sovereign state on his land”.

“Israel” fears that Ḥizb Allah and Syria might enter the battle of “Ṭūfān al-Aqṣā [Flood of al-Aqsa]” from the northern front of the Entity in order to support the resistance factions in the Gaza Strip, which might lead to increased pressure on the Occupation’s “army” that is suffering from internal weakness and disintegration.

The Israeli aggressions are recurring against Syria and its airports. The airport of Aleppo went out of service in late August, while the correspondent of al-Mayadeen had reported at the end of September the aggression by an Israeli tank against the area surrounding the village of ‘Ayn at-Tīna right next to the occupied Mağdal Šams with tree grenades, adding that the damages were only material. Before that, a number of Syrian army personnel got martyred or injured following Israeli aggression against Ṭarṭūs province.

أفادت مراسلة الميادين في دمشق، بأنّ الدفاعات الجوية السورية، تصدّت اليوم الخميس، لعدوان إسرائيلي على مطاري دمشق وحلب، وسط  أنباء عن تضرر مدارجهما.

ونشر ناشطون على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي صور ومشاهد من استهداف المطارين

وفي إثر العدوان، أعلنت وزارة النقل السـورية تحويل الرحلات الجوية المبرمجة عبر مطارَي دمشق وحلب، لتصبح عبر مطار اللاذقية الدولي، مضيفةً أنّ كوادرها بدأت الكشف عن الأضرار في مدرجات المطارين، وإزالة آثار العدوان الإسرائيلي تمهيداً لإصلاحهما.

وقالت وزارة الدفاع السورية، في بيان، عقب العدوان، إنّ “العدو الإسرائيلي نفذ بالتزامن عدواناً جوياً برشقات من الصواريخ على مطاري حلب ودمشق الدوليين”.

وأشارت الوزارة إلى أنّ “العدوان الإسرائيلي أدّى إلى تضرر مهابط مطاري دمشق وحلب وخروجهما عن الخدمة”.

واعتبرت أنّ هذا العدوان هو “محاولة يائسة من العدو الإسرائيلي المجرم لتحويل الأنظار عن جرائمه في غزة”.

ورأت الدفاع السورية، أنّ العدوان هو “جزء من النهج المستمر بدعم الجماعات الإرهابية التي نحاربها، والتي تشكل ذراعاً مسلحاً للكيان الإسرائيلي”.

وقبل يومين، قالت مصادر سورية مُطّلعة إنّ “الاحتلال قصف بالمدفعية منطقة وادي جملة في ريف درعا الغربي القريب من الجزء الجنوبي من الجولان المحتل”، مشيرةً إلى أنّ المنطقة المستهدفة بالقصف الإسرائيلي عبارة عن أودية تقابل مستوطنة “رمات مغشيميم” بالجزء الجنوبي من الجولان المحتل.

وكانت سوريا قد دانت في بيان، “ممارسات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي الوحشية بحق الشعب الفلسطيني”، مشددةً على أنّ “ردّ المقاومة يثبت حق الشعب الفلسطيني في إقامة دولته المستقلة في أرضه”.

وتخشى “إسرائيل” دخول حزب الله وسوريا معركة “طوفان الأقصى” من الجهة الشمالية للكيان، من أجل مساندة فصائل المقاومة في قطاع غزّة، الأمر الذي يؤدي إلى زيادة الضغط على “جيش” الاحتلال، الذي يُعاني ضعفاً وتشتتاً داخلياً.

وتتكرر الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية على سوريا وعلى مطاراتها، وخرج مطار حلب عن الخدمة، في نهاية آب/أغسطس الماضي. وكان مراسل الميادين قد أفاد في أواخر أيلول/سبتمبر الماضي، باعتداء دبابة إسرائيلية على محيط بلدة عين التينة مقابل مجدل شمس المحتلة بثلاث قذائف، مضيفاً أنّ الأضرار اقتصرت على الماديات. وسبق ذلك استشهاد وجرح عدد من العسكريين السوريين جرّاء عدوان إسرائيلي على محافظة طرطوس
