The Coordinative Framework nominates Nūrī al-Mālikī for the post of Prime Minister after an expanded meeting of its leadership, calling upon the Council of Representatives to speed up the election of the election of the President.

According to what the Iraqi News Agency reported, on Saturday the Coordinative Framework announced nominating Nūrī al-Mālikī to the post of Prime Minister.

The statement issues by the Coordinative Framework mentioned that “based on our national responsibility and being committed to fulfill the constitutional achievements safeguarding the stability of the country and strengthening the path of the state”, the Framework held an expanded leadership meeting at the office of Hādī al-‘Āmirī, during which the political conditions and the next period was discussed.

The statement added that “after deep and lengthy discussions the majority of the Coordinative Framework decided to nominate Nūrī al-Mālikī to the post of Prime Minister as the candidate of the most numerous representative block, based on his political and administrative experience and his role in the administration of the country”.

According to the statement, the Coordinative Framework confirmed its full commitment “for the constitutional path” and that being dedicated to work with all national forces to form a government that is “strong, active, capable of confronting the challenges, can provide services and defends the security and unity of Iraq”.

The Coordinative Framework also called upon the Iraqi House of Representatives to hold a session dedicated to electing the President of the country in accordance with the constitutional timetable.

الإطار التنسيقي يعلن ترشيح نوري المالكي لمنصب رئيس مجلس الوزراء، بعد اجتماع. موسّع لقادته، داعياً مجلس النواب إلى الإسراع في انتخاب رئيس الجمهورية

أعلن الإطار التنسيقي، اليوم السبت، ترشيح نوري المالكي لمنصب رئيس مجلس. الوزراء، بحسب ما نقلته وكالة الأنباء العراقية.

وذكر بيان صادر عن الإطار التنسيقي أنه، “انطلاقاً من مسؤوليتنا الوطنية، وحرصاً على استكمال. الاستحقاقات الدستورية ضمن سياق يحفظ استقرار البلاد ويعزّز مسار الدولة”، عقد. الإطار اجتماعاً موسّعاً  لقادته في مكتب هادي العامري، جرى خلاله تداول. الأوضاع السياسية والمرحلة المقبلة

وأضاف البيان أنه “بعد نقاش معمّق ومستفيض، قرر الإطار التنسيقي. بالأغلبية ترشيح نوري المالكي لمنصب رئيس مجلس. الوزراء، مرشّحاً للكتلة النيابية الأكثر عدداً، واستناداً إلى خبرته السياسية والإدارية، ودوره. في إدارة الدولة”.

وأكد الإطار التنسيقي، بحسب البيان، التزامه الكامل “المسار الدستوري”، وحرصه. على العمل مع جميع القوى الوطنية لتشكيل. حكومة “قوية وفاعلة، قادرة على مواجهة التحديات، وتقديم الخدمات، وحماية أمن العراق ووحدته”.

كما دعا الإطار التنسيقي مجلس النواب العراقي إلى عقد جلسته المخصّصة لانتخاب رئيس الجمهورية وفقاً للتوقيتات الدستورية
