The Iranian Revolutionary Guards dismantles an armed operations cell linked to the “Halk” group in the city of Pardīs to the east of Tehran.

The Intelligence Service of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards has announced on Friday the dismantling of an armed operations cell belonging to the “Halk” group in the city of Pardīs to the east of the capital Tehran.
The Revolutionary Guards issued a statement explaining that “by the security monitoring and the awareness of the intelligence services crew in the city of Pardīs members of a terrorist operations cell were apprehended, which was behind planning to attack more 10 governmental, security and military centers in the provinces of Tehran and Alborz”.
The statement also confirmed that these members recently to steps to combat the security worked on obtaining raw materials to produce locally produced explosives to assassinate citizens and undermine security. It pointed out that members of the Revolutionary Guards foiled these attempts due to the awareness of the intelligence services in the city of Pardīs and rapidly intervened.

أعلن جهاز استخبارات حرس الثورة الإيراني، اليوم الجمعة، تفكيك خلية عمليات مسلّحة تابعة لجماعة “خلق”، في مدينة برديس شرق العاصمة طهران
وأصدر الحرس، بياناً أوضح من خلاله أنه “بفضل الرصد الأمني ويقظة كوادر جهاز الاستخبارات في مدينة برديس، أُلقي القبض على عناصر خلية العمليات الإرهابية، والتي كانت وراء التخطيط لمهاجمة أكثر من 10 مراكز حكومية وأمنية وعسكرية في محافظتي طهران والبرز”.
كما أكّد البيان أنّ تلك العناصر عملت مؤخراً، من خلال إجراءات مناهضة للأمن، للحصول على مواد خام لصنع قنابل محلية الصنع لاغتيال مواطنين وزعزعة الأمن، مشيراً إلى أن عناصر حرس الثورة أحبطوا هذه المحاولات بفضل إشراف جهاز استخبارات مدينة برديس وتدخّله السريع
