The Iranian Foreign Ministry confirms that Tehran will not participate in the Sharm el-Sheikh Summit despite its thanks to the Egyptian President for the invitation and underlines that it refuses to sit with parties that attack Iran, confirming that it welcomes any initiative to end the genocide in Gaza and to restore the skin the region.

Official spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmā‘īl Baqā’ī announced that his country has no plans to participate in the Sharm el-Sheik Summit scheduled to be held by the invitation of Egyptian President ‘Abd al-Fattāḥ as-Sīsī.

In the same context Iranian Foreign Minister ‘Abbās ‘Arāqčī said that “Tehran expresses its thanks to the Egyptian President for the invitation, but it cannot participate in a meeting that involves parties that attacked the Iranian people and still continue to threaten them”, in a signal to the United States and some Western powers”.

‘Arāqčī added that “Iran supports the diplomatic optimism in the regional and international matters”, but views “the involvement with aggressive states does not serve real peace in the region”.

The Iranian Minister reiterated the position of his country about the war in Gaza, confirming that Iran “welcomes any initiative that ends the mass genocide the Israeli Entity is committing against the Palestinian people”, underlining at the same time that the repulsion of the Occupation is a fundamental condition for achieving lasting peace.

‘Araqčī closed by saying “Iran has been and will remain an essential force for peace in the region”, confirming that its firm policies rely on supporting the just causes with the Palestinian cause at the top of the list”.

The Egyptian Presidential Office had announced earlier that the country on Tuesday will host an international summit about an agreement to end the war against Gaza.

Egypt explained that the summit will be held in the city of Sharm el-Sheik with the participation of 20 leaders, including American President Donald Trump.

أعلن المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية، إسماعيل بقائي، أن بلاده. لا تملك أي خطة للمشاركة في قمة شرم الشيخ، المقرر عقدها بدعوة من الرئيس المصري عبد الفتاح السيسي.

وفي السياق، قال وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقتشي إنّ “طهران تعبّر عن. شكرها للرئيس السيسي على الدعوة، لكنها لا تستطيع المشاركة في اجتماع يضم أطرافاً هاجمت الشعب. الإيراني وما زالت تواصل تهديده”، في إشارة إلى الولايات المتحدة وبعض القوى الغربية.

وأضاف عراقتشي أن “إيران تؤيد التفاعل الدبلوماسي في. القضايا الإقليمية والدولية”، لكنها ترى أن “الانخراط مع الدول المعتدية لا يخدم السلام الحقيقي في المنطقة”.

وجدد الوزير الإيراني موقف بلاده من الحرب في غزة، مؤكدًا أن إيران “ترحب بأي. مبادرة من شأنها إنهاء الإبادة الجماعية التي يرتكبها الكيان الإسرائيلي ضد الشعب الفلسطيني”، وتشدد في. الوقت نفسه على أنّ طرد الاحتلال شرطٌ أساسي لتحقيق سلام دائم

وختم عراقتشي بالقول إنّ “إيران كانت وستبقى قوة أساسية من أجل. السلام في المنطقة”، مؤكداً أنّ سياستها الثابتة تقوم على دعم القضايا العادلة وفي مقدمتها القضية الفلسطينية.\

وكانت الرئاسة المصرية أعلنت، في وقت سابق، أنّ البلاد. ستستضيف، اليوم الاثنين، قمة دولية بشأن اتفاق لإنهاء الحرب على غزة.

وأوضحت مصر، أنّ القمة ستُعقد في مدينة شرم. الشيخ، بحضور أكثر من 20 زعيماً، بينهم الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب
