Since the beginning of the demonstrations for the first time there has been a meeting between the head of the government Sa ‘ad al-Ḥarīrī and Foreign Minister Ğubrān Bāsil in the Bayt al-Wasaṭ.
The demonstrators cut a number of roads in the Lebanese capital additionally to the main roads connecting the areas with each other amidst the escalating popular dissatisfaction, where the protestors prevented the movement for the citizens.
The demonstrators already closed the main roads in Beirut, one among them the Ring Bridge, which connects two parts of the capital, as they cut the main roads to the south and burned tires on the highway to Byblos, which reaches Beirut from the north.
This [all going on] and there has been a meeting between the head of the acting Lebanese government Sa‘ad al-Ḥarīrī and its Foreign Minister, Bāsīl Ğubrān in the Bayt al-Wasaṭ [residence of al-Ḥarīrī].
Our reporter added that the meeting took four hours and the informations on it points to that the climate took a positive trajectory. This counts to be the first meeting between al-Ḥarīrī and Bāsīl since the beginning of the demonstrations.

منذ بدء الاحتجاجات عقد للمرة الأولى لقاء بين رئيس حكومة تصريف الأعمال في لبنان سعد الحريري ووزير الخارجية فيها جبران باسيل في بيت الوسط
قطع محتجون طرقاً عديدةً في العاصمة اللبنانية إضافة إلى طرق رئيسية تصل المناطق بعضها ببعض، وسط استياء شعبي متصاعد مع منع متظاهرين للمواطنين من المرور
وقد أغلق محتجون طرقاً رئيسيةً وحيويّةً وسط بيروت منها جسر الرينغ الذي يربط شطري العاصمة كما قطعوا طرقًا عامةً باتجاه الجنوب وأشعلوا الإطارات عند الطريق العام لجبيل الذي يصل بيروت بالشمال
هذا وعقد لقاء بين رئيس حكومة تصريف الأعمال في لبنان سعد الحريري ووزير الخارجية فيها جبران باسيل في بيت الوسط
مراسلنا أفاد بأن اللقاء استمر أربع ساعات وتحدث عن معلومات تشير إلى أن الأجواء اتسمت بالإيجابية، ويعتبر هذا اللقاء هو الأول بين الحريري وباسيل منذ بدء الاحتجاجات
