Units of the Syrian Defense Army and the troops of “Qasad” clashed in the rural areas of al-Ḥasaka province Northeastern Syria.

Local sources of the “Sputnik” news agency have confirmed that there have been fierce clashes with heavy weapons in the vicinity of the between the Ṭayy’ neighborhood in the city of al-Qāmišlī between the National Defense Forces, an auxiliary of the Syrian Army, the inhabitants of the neighborhood from among the Ṭayy’l but also other Arab tribes on the one hand, and the armed men of the “Qasad” on the other.
The news agency added that the clashes were still going on on Wednesday morning, after the troops of “Qasad” brought in major military reinforcements to the vicinity of the neighborhood.
They pointed out that the clashes broke out after the attempt by “Qasad” to detain one of the leaders of the National Defense Forces at the roundabout at the entrance of the Ṭayy’ neighborhood, which is under the control of the Syrian Army.
They added that this commander of the National Defense managed to get away from the armed group and arrive at a safe area after a swift clash between him and them.
It was pointed out that this was followed by the insistence by the armed men of the “Qasad” group, which opened intense fire by guns towards the Ṭayy’ neighborhood which was answered by the National Defense Forces towards the source of the shooting. This led to the death of a militant and the injury of 3 others.
It was also pointed out that they cut the electricity all over al-Qāmišlī city and started to can out snipers at the tall buildings amidst the fear and confusion of the Arab tribal civilian population.
The sources added that the military reinforcements, including armored vehicles, started to impose a barrier around the neighborhood of the Ṭayy’ neighborhood, though this doe not change the area of control until this point.

وأكدت مصادر محلية لوكالة “سبوتنيك” وقوع اشتباكات عنيفة بالأسلحة الثقيلة بمحيط حي طيء بمدينة القامشلي بين قوات الدفاع الوطني الرديفة للجيش السوري وسكان الحي من أبناء قبيلة طيء والقبائل العربية الأخرى من طرف، وبين مسلحي “قسد” من طرف آخر
وأفادت الوكالة بأن الاشتباكات ما زالت مستمرة فجر الأربعاء، بعد قيام مسلحي “قسد” باستقدام تعزيزات عسكرية كبيرة إلى محيط الحي
وأشارت إلى أن الاشتباكات اندلعت بعد محاولة “قسد” اعتقال أحد قيادي قوات الدفاع الوطني عند دوار الوحدة عند مدخل حي طيء الواقع تحت سيطرة الجيش السوري
وأضافت أن القيادي في الدفاع الوطني نجح في التملص من مسلحي الجماعة والوصول إلى منطقة آمنة، بعد اشتباك قصير بينه وبينهم
ولفتت إلى أنه تلا ذلك مسارعة مسلحي جماعة “قسد” بإطلاق مكثف للرصاص باتجاه حي طيء، لترد قوات الدفاع الوطني على مصدر النيران، ما أسفر عن مقتل مسلح من وإصابة 3 آخرين
وأشارت إلى انهم قطعوا التيار الكهربائي عن كامل مدينة القامشلي، وبدأوا بنشر قناصات على الأبنية المرتفعة وسط خوف وهلع السكان المدنيين من أبناء القبائل العربية
وأضافت أن تعزيزات عسكرية بينها عربات مدرعة بدأت بضرب طوق حول حي قبيلة طيء، دون أي تغير في خارطة السيطرة حتى اللحظة
