Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu described the American sanction against Syria as “mistaken if it aims to break Syria and to weaken it by creating an area of the Kurdish People Defense Units”.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu confirmed that the United States strives to lay siege on the Syrian President by the Caesar Act.
In an interview with “CNN” in Turkish Çavuşoğlu described the sanctions as erroneous, if they aim to break Syria and to weaken it by creating an area for the Kurdish People Defense Units.
He pointed out that his country cannot support Washington in this step, even if they had an identical view about al-Asad.
Head of the Syrian government Ḥussayn ‘Arnūs has studied with the First Deputy of the Iranian President and Director of the Iranian Committee for the Improvement the Economic Relations with Syria and Iraq Ḥasan Danā’ī-Far the necessary steps to boost the economic cooperation combatting the American sanctions and the “Caesar” Act.
The discussion also touched the means to strengthen the trade exchange and the improvement of cooperation in the fields of research experiences, health authorities, infrastructural projects, development, and investments.
‘Abbās Mūsavī, spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry expressed that his country condemns the situation and the implementation of the Caesar Act against Syria, considering that American Act “going against the international law and the humanitarian principles”.
Mūsavī said that “in light of the spreading of the Corona Virus around the world the situation this way is inhuman and increases the suffering of the Syrian people”.
Turkey aims to transform Idlib to a safe area
In a similar context, Çavuşoğlu said that Turkey aims now to transform Idlib into a safe area and that they are currently discussing the situation.
He added that “when we transform Idlib into a safe area, then our army will think in a strategic way and will deploy in a different manner in the area according to the following needs”.
He pointed out that “the Turkish Army, the Defense Ministry and the security service in charge, they will decide where the monitoring positions will concentrate, where the Turkish soldiers and the intelligence will operate in the region, but now they continue their activities in the area of their spread”.
He also confirmed that “there can be new spread according to the new situation in the area, or after the safe area is set up here”.

أكد وزير الخارجية التركي مولود جاويش أوغلو أن الولايات المتحدة تسعى إلى محاصرة الرئيس السوري من خلال قانون قيصر
وفي مقابلة مع قناة “سي ان ان” باللغة التركية، وصف أوغلو العقوبات بالخاطئة إذا كانت تهدف إلى تقسيم سوريا وإضعافها بهدف إقامة منطقة لوحدات حماية الشعب الكردية
وأشار إلى أن بلاده لا يمكن أن تدعم واشنطن في هذه الخطوة وإن كانت الآراء متطابقة بشأن الأسد

كما تناول البحث آليات تعزيز التبادل التجاري وتطوير التعاون في مجال المختبرات البحثية والأجهزة الطبية ومشروعات البنى التحتية والتنمية والاستثمار
كما عبّر المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الايرانية عباس موسوي، عن إدانة بلاده لوضع وتنفيذ قانون قيصر ضد سوريا، معتبراً القانون الأميركي “مخالف للقوانين الدولية والأصول الانسانية
وقال موسوي إنه “في ظل تفشي فيروس كورونا على صعيد العالم، فإن وضع هكذا عقوبات غير إنسانية، يضاعف آلام ومصائب الشعب السوري
تركيا تسعى إلى تحويل إدلب إلى منطقة آمنة
في سياق منفصل، قال أوغلو إنّ تركيا تسعى الآن إلى تحويل منطقة إدلب إلى منطقة آمنة ونناقش هذا الموضوع حاليا
وأضاف “عندما نحول إدلب إلى منطقة آمنة سيفكر جيشنا بطريقة استراتيجية وسيتمركز بشكل مختلف في المنطقة حسب الحاجة للمراقبة
وأشار إلى أنّ “الجيش التركي ووزارة الدفاع وأجهزة الأمن المعنية هم من سيقررون أين ستتمركز نقاط المراقبة وكيف وأين سيعمل الجنود الأتراك والاستخبارات في المنطقة بعد بسط الأمن في المنطقة ولكن حالياً يواصلون عملهم في أماكن تمركزهم
