The military leadership in Iran confirmed that the operation achieved its goals and warned “Israel” about any gamble.

Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Moḥammad Bāqerī announced that Iran had targeted two important Israeli military positions, which were: the headquarters of the Israeli Intelligence at Ğabal aš-Šayh and the Nabatim military base. Both were destroyed within the operation that had been launched on Saturday night against the occupied Palestinian lands.

Bāqerī pointed out that the attack that was carried out with ballistic missiles and cruise missiles “was planned in a way that the airbase would be targeted from which the Israeli planes took off attacking our consulate”.

He also confirmed that direct hit in the attack that “we tried to make it punitive, yet we only targeted military targets”.

As for the American role in the current crisis Bāqerī said that “America knew about the attack on our consulate in Damascus at it gave a green light to the Occupying Entity”.

He added: “If the Zionist Entity responded to the operation of Iran, our next response will be for sure much more widespread than this operation”.

On his behalf Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Major General Ḥosseyn Salāmī said that the Iranians posed “a new equation with the Zionist Entity”, and by the response to any aggression against the Iranian lands. Thus announcing a “new chapter in the confrontation with the Zionist Enemy”.

Salāmī conformed that “the Zionist and American defense systems were surpassed and limited targets were hit, which was not an easy task”. Yet the Iranian military plans “were inventive and managed to infiltrate the layers of the defense systems of the Zionists and their allies, the Americans and the French”.

Salāmī ended his words confirming the success of the military operation with a success fitting to the expectations, warning “Israel” against doing anything, because “the response will be more strict and severe”.

The American officials confirmed to the “NBC” network that they fear “Israel” would respond to Iran “instantly and fast without thinking about the repercussions”. Thus according to the Israeli media.

Among other things the “NBC” network mentioned that these fears “emanate from the consideration of the American administration about the methods of Israel in its war against Ḥamās, apart from its decision to assassinate a major official of the Jerusalem Forces Ḥasan Mahdavī in Damascus”.

In addition to this three insightful sources told details to the “NBC” saying that “American President Joe Biden “expressed his concerns that the government of Benjamin Netanyahu would try to pull the United States into a broader struggle”.

At the same time with this the American Axios website pointed out citing officials that Biden “informed Netanyahu that the United States will confront any Israeli counterattack against Iran”. They also expressed “their major concern” about the Israeli response to the Iranian attack against “Israel” would lead to a regional war with “catastrophic repercussions”.

أعلن رئيس هيئة الأركان المسلحة الإيرانية، اللواء محمد باقري، عن استهداف إيران لموقعين. عسكريين إسرائيليين مهمين، وهما: المقر الاستخباراتي الإسرائيلي في جبل الشيخ، وقاعدة نوفاتيم العسكرية، وتدميرهما، ضمن. العملية التي شنتها أمس على الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة.

وأشار باقري إلى أنّ الهجوم الذي تم بصواريخ بالستية وصواريخ كروز، “تم التخطيط. له بحيث تم استهداف القاعدة الجوية التي انطلقت منها الطائرات الإسرائيلية التي اعتدت على قنصليتنا”.

كما أكّد تحقيق إصابات مباشرة في الهجوم الذي “حاولنا أن يكون عقابياً، ولم نستهدف فيه سوى القواعد العسكرية”.

وعن الدور الأميركي في الأزمة الجارية قال باقري، إنّ “أميركا كانت تعلم باستهداف قنصليتنا. في دمشق، وهي من أعطت الضوء الأخضر لكيان الاحتلال”.

وأضاف: “إذا قام الكيان الصهيوني بالرد على عملية إيران، فإن ردّنا المقبل، سيكون بالتأكيد أوسع بكثير من هذه العملية”.

من جهته، قال قائد حرس الثورة في إيران اللواء حسين سلامي، إن الإيرانيين اتخذوا “معادلة. جديدة مع الكيان الصهيوني”، وهي الرد على أي اعتداء تتعرّض له الأراضي الإيرانية، معلناً. البدء بـ”صفحة جديدة من الاشتباك مع العدو الصهيوني”.

وأكد سلامي أنّ “تجاوز المنظومات الدفاعية الصهيونية والأميركية في المنطقة، وإصابة الأهداف. المحددة، لم يكن أمراً سهلاً”، إلا أنّ الخطط العسكرية الإيرانية “كانت إبداعية وتمكّنت من اختراق طبقات. المنظومات الدفاعية الصهيونية وحلفاء إسرائيل الأميركيين والفرنسيين”.

وختم سلامي بتأكيده نجاح العملية العسكرية، نجاحاً تخطّى توقّعاتهم، محذراً “إسرائيل” من القيام بأي فعل، لأن “الرد سيكون أشد وأقسى”

كما أكد مسؤولون أميركيون لشبكة “أن بي سي” أنهم يخشون أن تردّ “إسرائيل” على. إيران “بتهور وبسرعة ومن دون التفكير في العواقب”، بحسب وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية.

ومن بين أمور أخرى، ذكرت شبكة “أن بي سي”، أن هذه المخاوف “تنبع من وجهة نظر الإدارة. الأميركية حول نهج إسرائيل في حربها ضد حماس، فضلاً عن قرارها باغتيال. المسؤول الكبير في قوة القدس حسن مهدوي في دمشق”.

إضافة إلى ذلك، قالت ثلاثة مصادر مطلعة على التفاصيل لشبكة “أن بي سي “، إنّ الرئيس الأميركي. جو بايدن “أعرب عن قلقه من أن رئيس الحكومة بنيامين نتنياهو يحاول جرّ الولايات المتحدة إلى داخل صراع أوسع”.
