The Yemeni news agency says that the satellites show that the Emirates installed a runway for the military planes in addition to the military buildings in the Yemeni island of Mayūn
The Yemeni news agency stated today, on Wednesday, that pictures of a satellite reveal that “the size of the Emirati-Israeli military base in the Yemeni island of Mayūn at the straits of Bab al-Mandab”.
According to the news agency, the satellites showed that “the Emirates installed a runway for the military planes in addition to the military buildings on the island”.
The Emirates moved its military base from Eritrea in the second half of this February to the island of Mayūn in the southern part of the Red Sea.
The military base erected in Eritrea in 2015 compromised a naval building and the runway for planes, and it was also used to transport heavy weaponry and Sudanese troops participating in the Yemeni war.
In this context, media reports brought Yemeni tribal warnings about the Emirati intention to bring “Israel” into the Island of Socotra on the Indian Ocean right along the southern Yemeni coasts.

وبحسب الوكالة، فإن الأقمار الصناعية أظهرت أن “الإمارات انشأت مدرجاً للطائرات العسكرية، بالإضافة إلى مبانٍ عسكرية في الجزيرة
ونقلت الإمارات قاعدتها العسكرية من إرتيريا في النصف الثاني من شهر شباط/فبراير الماضي، إلى جزيرة ميون في جنوب البحر الأحمر
وشملت القاعدة التي أنشئت عام 2015 في إرتيريا ميناءً بحرياً ومهبطاً للطائرات، كما جرى استخدامها لنقل أسلحةٍ ثقيلةٍ وقواتٍ سودانيةٍ للمشاركة في الحرب على اليمن
