The Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs expresses the wish of his country to form its relations with its neighbors more substantial, including the Arab states and confirms that excellent relations between Tehran and Doha.
Iranian Foreign Minister Ḥossein Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān on Tuesday confirmed that his country is “extending its hands towards its neighbors and wants more substantial relations with its neighbors, including the Arab states. This is a primarily matter for us”.
Amīr ‘Abdollahiyān said in a tweet that President Ebrāhīm Ra’īsī “is a guest of the brotherly state of Qatar and receives an outstanding reception by aš-Šayh Tamīm. Also adding that the relations of Iran and Qatar on the governmental level and that of the people are excellent and are built on the foundation of common interests.

Ra’īsī visited the Qatari capital Doha yesterday, on Monday at the head of a high ranking delegation. According to the Iranian media this visit came in response the official invitation by the Emir of Qatar aš-Šayh Tamīm ibn Ḥamad Āl Tānī.
The Iranian president said in a joint press conference with the Emir of Qatar yesterday that “the goal of this visit is to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries aside from participating on the Gas Production Forum”. Also adding that an agreement was reached to “strengthen the relations between the two countries on various fields”.
Before Ra’īsī headed to Doha, he confirmed that the cooperation in the field of energy with Qatar is important and there is hope that this visit will be an important step towards strengthening the political and trade relations between the regional states.

وزير الخارجية الإيراني يعرب عن رغبة بلاده بتمتين العلاقات مع الجيران ولا سيما الدول العربية، ويؤكد على رسوخ العلاقات بين طهران والدوحة.
أكد وزير الخارجية الإيراني، حسن أمير عبد اللهيان، اليوم الثلاثاء، أنّ بلاده “تمدّ يدها نحو جيرانها وتريد تمتين العلاقات مع الجيران، ولا سيما الدول العربية، وهذا الأمر أولوية بالنسبة لنا”.
وقال أمير عبد اللهيان، في تغريدة، إنّ الرئيس إبراهيم رئيسي “يحل ضيفاً على دولة قطر الشقيقة، وحظي فيها بحفاوة بالغة من لدن الشيخ تميم”، مضيفاً أنّ علاقات إيران وقطر على المستوى الحكومي والشعبي مترسخة ومبنية على أساس المصالح المشتركة.
وزار رئيسي العاصمة القطرية الدوحة، أمس الإثنين، على رأس وفد رفيع. وبحسب الإعلام الإيراني، تأتي الزيارة تلبية لدعوة رسمية من أمير قطر الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني.
وقال الرئيس الإيراني، في مؤتمر صحافي مشترك مع أمير قطر، يوم أمس، إنّ “هدفه من هذه الزيارة تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين إلى جانب المشاركة في منتدى مُصدّري الغاز “، مضيفاً أنّه جرى الاتفاق على “تعزيز التعاون بين البلدين في المجالات المختلفة”.
وقبل توجه رئيسي إلى الدوحة، أكّد أن التعاون في مجال الطاقة مع قطر مهم، وأمل أن تكون هذه الزيارة خطوة مهمة نحو تعزيز العلاقات السياسية والتجارية بين دول المنطقة
