Algerian President ‘Abd al-Mağīd Tabbūn stresses the support of his country to the Tunisian state and confirms that this comes from the basis of “joint faith in the same path ahead the two brotherly states and brotherly nations”.
Algerian President ‘Abd al-Mağīd Tabbūn announced the devotion of his country to continue supporting Tunisia, standing by it and supporting its position.
According to the statement by the Tunisian Presidential Office, this came on Wednesday night while Tabbūn met his Tunisian colleague Qays Sa‘īd aside from the 31st Arab League Summit in the Algerian capital.
During his meeting with Sa‘īd Tabbūn said that “Algeria is devoted to continuing supporting Tunisia, standing on its side and supporting its position”.
He added that Algeria “holds on to the ongoing strategic partnership between the two states, not forgetting within the current economic and social challenges escalating global transitions”.
The Algerian President pointed out that this emanates “from the basis of joint faith in the same path ahead the two brotherly states and brotherly nations”.
On his behalf, Sa‘īd expressed “the firm devotion to continue working together in order to develop these exemplary relations and build on them towards better levels, aside from more impetus to the values of solidarity between the two brotherly people”.
According to the statement by the Tunisian Presidential Office, the meeting “was a great occasion for the two presidents to confirm that their views are corresponding between the two states about a great number of regional matters with common interests”.
On Tuesday night the Arab League Summit started its works under the slogan “inclusivity” with the participation of 16 Arab leaders and foreign honorary guests, coming after a 3 years long hiatus caused by the Corona epidemic, as the last such occasion was in 2019 in Tunisia.

الرئيس الجزائري عبد المجيد تبون يشدد على دعم بلاده للدولة التونسية، ويؤكد أنّ ذلك يأتي من منطلق “الإيمان المشترك بوحدة المصير بين البلدين والشعبين الشقيقين
أعلن الرئيس الجزائري عبد المجيد تبون حرص بلاده على مواصلة مساندة تونس والوقوف إلى جانبها ودعم مواقفها.
جاء ذلك خلال لقاء مساء الأربعاء جمع تبّون ونظيره التونسي قيس سعيّد على هامش انعقاد القمة العربية في نسختها الـ31 في الجزائر العاصمة، وفق بيان للرئاسة التونسية.
وقال تبّون خلال لقائه سعيّد إنّ “الجزائر حريصة على مواصلة مساندة تونس والوقوف إلى جانبها ودعم مواقفها
وأضاف أنّ الجزائر “متمسكة بالشراكة الإستراتيجية القائمة بين البلدين، ولا سيّما في ظلّ التحديات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية الراهنة والتحولات العالمية المتسارعة”.
ولفت الرئيس الجزائري إلى أنّ ذلك يأتي “من منطلق الإيمان المشترك بوحدة المصير بين البلدين والشعبين الشقيقين”.
من جانبه، عبّر سعيّد عن “حرصه الثابت على مواصلة العمل معاً من أجل تطوير هذه العلاقات النموذجية والارتقاء بها إلى مستويات أفضل، فضلاً عن المزيد من ترسيخ قيم التآزر والتضامن بين الشعبين الشقيقين”.
ووفق بيان الرئاسة التونسية، كان اللقاء “مناسبة سانحة للرئيسين للتأكيد على تطابق وجهات النظر بين البلدين حول جملة من الملفات الإقليمية ذات الاهتمام المشترك”.
