The Algerian presidential office announces that 3 Algerian citizens met their fate in “a barbaric shelling” against their trucks and says that there are “a number of details point to the participation of Moroccan occupying forces in Western Sahara perpetrating this assassination”.
The Algerian presidential office announced today, on Wednesday that 3 Algerian citizens met their fate in a “barbaric shelling” against their trucks while passing through the main road connecting the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott with the province of Waraqla in Southwestern Algeria.
The statement explained that a number of details point out the involvement of Moroccan forces in Western Sahara in “perpetrating this coward assassination by developed weapons”.
The statement also pointed out that “while the Algerian people are overflown with celebration in an atmosphere of joy and calm remembering the 67th anniversary of the launch of the blessed national liberation revolution 3 Algerian citizens faced a coward assassination by barbaric shelling against their trucks, while they were passing by between Nouakchott and Waraqla in the framework of normal trade movement between the peoples of the region”.
The statement confirmed that the Algerian authorities have “taken immediately the necessary measures to investigate these repulsive act and to reveal its implications”. Thus adding that “a number of details point out the involvement of Moroccan occupying forces in Western Sahara in perpetrating this coward assassination with the use of developed weapons. This counts to be again a new appearance for brutal aggression, which shows the known political intention for regional expansion and intimidation”.
The statement added: “The innocent victims for the terrorist act by the state today in the beginning of the November accompany the martyrs of national liberation, who made the new Algeria a beacon of values and eternal historical principals”. Thus confirming that “their assassination will not go unpunished”.
It is important to mention that Morocco closed its embassy in the Algerian capital in August, after Algeria but its relations with it for what it described as “acts of aggression”.
Previously the Foreign Minister of Algeria, Ramṭān La‘māmara had said that the recent acts of aggression by Morocco towards Algeria was the reason for cutting the relations of his country with the kingdom.
At the same time Algerian Minister of Communications ‘Ammār bil-Ḥamīr said on Wednesday that “France protests the enemies of Algeria and supports them. The aim of this is to interfere with the sovereignty and safety of Algeria”.
Bil-Ḥamīr in an interview with the Algerian news network confirmed that “France tasked the French news agency to cover the enemies of Algeria and strike at its stability and unity”. Thus pointing out that it “strives to take terrorism to reach what it could not achieve with its war fleet”.
Bil-Ḥamīr issued a message tp France and all those who play on the terrorist card tp strike at the security of his country saying that “the people preserved well the lesson of the dark decade [of the ‘90s – Amaraia].

أعلنت الرئاسة الجزائرية، اليوم الأربعاء، أنّ 3 رعايا جزائريين لقوا حتفهم في “قصف همجي” لشاحناتهم أثناء تنقلهم على المحور الرابط بين العاصمة الموريتانية نواكشوط ومحافظة ورقلة جنوب شرق الجزائر
وأوضح البيان أنّ عدة عناصر تشير إلى ضلوع القوات المغربية في الصحراء الغربية في “ارتكاب هذا الاغتيال الجبان بواسطة سلاح متطور
كما أشار البيان إلى أنّه “في غمرة احتفال الشعب الجزائري في جو من البهجة والسكينة بالذكرى الـ67 لاندلاع ثورة التحرير الوطني المجيدة، تعرض 3 رعايا جزائريين لاغتيال جبان في قصف همجي لشاحناتهم أثناء تنقلهم بين نواكشوط وورقلة، في إطار حركة مبادلات تجارية عادية بين شعوب المنطقة
وأكّد البيان أنّ السلطات الجزائرية قد “اتخذت على الفور التدابير اللازمة للتحقيق في هذا العمل المقيت وكشف ملابساته”، مضيفاً أنّ “عدة عناصر تشير إلى ضلوع قوات الاحتلال المغربية بالصحراء الغربية في ارتكاب هذا الاغتيال الجبان بواسطة سلاح متطور، إذ يعدّ ذلك مظهراً جديداً لعدوان وحشي يمثل ميزة لسياسة معروفة بالتوسع الإقليمي والترهيب
وأضاف البيان: “يلتحق الضحايا الأبرياء، لعمل إرهاب الدولة في هذا اليوم الأغر للفاتح من تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر، بشهداء التحرير الوطني، الذين جعلوا من الجزائر الجديدة منارة للقيم ولمبادئ تاريخها الأبدي”، مؤكّداً أنّ “اغتيالهم لن يمضي من دون عقاب
