Prime Minister of the Libyan Unity ‘Abd al-Ḥakīm ad-Dabība says that Libya “refuses the normalization with the Zionist Entity”, underlining “the Foreign Minister Nağlā’ al-Manqūš is siding with the interest of the people”.

Prime Minister of the Libyan Unity ‘Abd al-Ḥakīm ad-Dabība confirmed on Thursday “his refusal to the normalization with the Zionist Entity in any shape or form”.

During a cabinet meeting in the capital Tripoli ad-Dabība underlined that “ Foreign Minister Nağlā al-Manqūš is aligned with the interest of the people and defends the interest of the country”.

Later on, he said: “The toll of liability makes it to bear the consequences of the dispute about this matter”. He added: “We shall know the details of what happened in Rome by the ongoing investigations”.

 

Ad-Dabība described the meeting of al-Manqūš with the Foreign Minister of the Israeli Occupation Eli Cohen as “a huge thing” and that it was a “marginal meeting”, pointing out that “there are parties that exploited the event to settle political scores and cause chaos in the country”.

Earlier the Libyan National Organization rejecting the normalization and supporting the resistance condemned what al-Manqūš did during his meeting with “one of the criminals of the Israeli Entity”, demanding taking legal measures against her and ad-Dabība, apart from adopting a law criminalizing the normalization.

Ad-Dabība issued a decree stating the official dismissal of al-Manqūš and putting her under investigation for her meeting with the Foreign Minister of the Israeli Occupation.

On the other hand, the office of al-Manqūš commenting on the decree of her suspension said that the meeting with Cohen took place with the permission of ad-Dabība, and happened after the latter had met in Rome the Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni last month with whom he arranged a meeting with the Israelis.

The Arab and international media mentioned that al-Manqūš left the country through the Ma‘ytīqa airport to Türkiye after her fears what the news of her normalization meeting might cause in condemning Libyan reactions on both the political and popular levels, as protests broke out in several Libyan cities, including the capital Tripoli.

The Israeli media revealed severe protest by the American administration against the government of the Israeli Occupation after the meeting was announced with the Libyan foreign minister, confirming that revealing the meeting several undermines the efforts of Washington working on the normalization.

This comes while Libya is divided between the government in Tripoli led by Prime Minister ‘Abd al-Ḥakīm ad-Dabība and the government of Usāma Ḥammād that acts in the East supported by the parliament and the military leader Halīfa Ḥaftar.

أكد رئيس حكومة الوحدة الوطنية الليبية، عبد الحميد الدبيبة، اليوم الخميس، “رفضه التطبيع مع الكيان الصهيوني، بأي شكل من الأشكال

وخلال اجتماع لمجلس الوزراء في العاصمة طرابلس، شدّد الدبيبة على “انحياز وزيرة الخارجية الليبية نجلاء المنقوش إلى مصالح الشعب، والدفاع عن مصالح البلاد”.

وعقّب قائلاً: “ضريبة المسؤولية تحتم عليها تحمّل نتائج المخالفة وبالأخص هذا الأمر”، وأضاف: “سنعرف تفاصيل ما حدث في روما، من خلال التحقيقات الجارية

ووصف الدبيبة لقاء المنقوش بوزير خارجية الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، إيلي كوهين، بـ “الأمر الجلل”، وإن كان “لقاءً جانبياً”، مشيراً إلى وجود “أطراف استغلّت الحادثة لتصفية حسابات سياسية وإحداث فوضى في البلاد

وسبق أن دانت الهيئة الوطنية الليبية لمناهضة التطبيع ودعم المقاومة ما أقدمت عليه المنقوش، خلال مقابلتها “أحد مجرمي الكيان الإسرائيلي”، مطالبةً باتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية بحقها والدبيبة، فضلاً عن إقرار قانون يجرّم التطبيع.

وأصدر الدبيبة، قراراً يقضي بإقالة المنقوش رسمياً وإحالتها إلى التحقيق على خلفية لقائها وزير خارجية الاحتلال الإسرائيلي.

في المقابل، قال مكتب المنقوش، تعليقاً على قرار إيقافها، إنّ اللقاء مع كوهين كان بإذن من الدبيبة، وجاء بعد أن اجتمع الأخير في روما مع رئيسة حكومة إيطاليا، جورجيا ميلوني، الشهر الماضي، واتفق معها على ترتيب اللقاء مع الإسرائيليين.

وكانت وسائل إعلام عربية وعالمية، قد ذكرت، أنّ المنقوش غادرت البلاد عبر مطار معيتيقة إلى تركيا، بعد خشيتها ممّا أثاره خبر اللقاء التطبيعي مِن ردود أفعالٍ ليبية مُندّدة على المستويين السياسي والشعبي، إذ خرجت تظاهرات في عدة مدن ليبية، ولا سيما العاصمة طرابلس.

وكشفت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية عن احتجاج شديد قدّمته الإدارة الأميركية لحكومة الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، بعد إعلان الاجتماع مع وزيرة الخارجية الليبية، مؤكدةً أنّ كشف اللقاء يُضرّ بشدّة بجهود واشنطن في العمل على التطبيع.

يأتي ذلك فيما ليبيا منقسمة بين حكومة طرابلس برئاسة رئيس الوزراء عبد الحميد الدبيبة، وحكومة أسامة حماد التي تعمل في الشرق بدعم من البرلمان والقائد العسكري خليفة حفتر
