The Attorney General of Mount Lebanon province Judge Ġāda ‘Awn issued a decree to ban Governor of Bank du Liban Riyāḍ Salāma from handling his newly acquired real estates, based on complaint of “The People want to reform the system” group.
Based on complaint of “The People want to reform the system” group Attorney General of Mount Lebanon province Judge Ġāda ‘Awn issued a decree ruling to ban Governor of Bank du Liban Riyāḍ Salāma from handling his newly acquired real estates in aṣ-Ṣafrā, Kafr Dabyān and Ašrafiyya (altogether 7 real estates).
Two days ago Judge ‘Awn issued an arrest warrant against Salāma after being absent from the investigation sessions three times.
Judge ‘Awn had already issued a travel ban against Salāma on 11 January 2021 based in the complaint of the of “The People want to reform the system” group‘s legal team.
This was followed by the call of the “Strong Lebanon” block led by Ğubrān Bāsīl to arrest the Governor of Bank du Liban immediately, describing him as “head of the financial mechanism, which carried out the biggest systematic sabotage against the money of the people”.
Also the judicial authorities in Luxembourg had previously opened a criminal case about the wealth of Salāma, as also the French court opened an investigation about the accounts of Salāma in July 2021 because of claims accusing him with money laundering.
Also the Swiss anti money laundering office in mid-April last year looked through thousands of documents and intercepted the financial transfers up to $326 million intended to Salāma and his brother Rağā’. This could happened via an agreement signed in 2002.
On the other hand Riyāḍ Salāma denies all accusations brought against him and confirms that his datas are “transparent” and the source of his wealths are “clear and documented”.

المدعية العامة في محافظة جبل لبنان، القاضية غادة عون، تصدر قراراً بمنع تصرف حاكم مصرف لبنان رياض سلامة بعقارات جديدة يملكها، بناءً على شكوى مجموعة “الشعب يريد إصلاح النظام
بناءً على شكوى مجموعة “الشعب يريد إصلاح النظام”، أصدرت المدعية العامة في محافظة جبل لبنان، القاضية غادة عون، قراراً قضى بمنع تصرف حاكم مصرف لبنان رياض سلامة في عقارات جديدة يملكها في منطقة الصفرا، كفرذبيان، والأشرفية (ما مجموعه 7 عقارات).
وأصدرت القاضية عون منذ يومين مذكرة إحضار بحق سلامة، بعد تغيبه عن جلسة الاستجواب للمرة الثالثة.
وكانت القاضية عون قد أصدرت مذكرة منع سفر بحق سلامة في 11 كانون الثاني/يناير 2021، بناءً على شكوى مقدمة من الدائرة القانونية لمجموعة “الشعب يريد إصلاح النظام”.
وسبق أن دعا تكتّل “لبنان القوي”، برئاسة جبران باسيل، إلى كفّ يدّ حاكم مصرف لبنان فوراً، واصفاً إياه بأنّه “رأس المنظومة المالية، وقام بأكبر سطو منظَّم على أموال الناس“.
كذلك فتحت السلطات القضائية في لوكسمبورغ، في وقت سابق، قضية جنائية تتعلق بثروة سلامة. كما أجرى القضاء الفرنسي، تحقيقاً بشأن حسابات سلامة في حزيران/يونيو 2021، على خلفية مزاعم تتعلق باتهامه بغسيل الأموال.
كما حلل مكتب غسل الأموال السويسري في أواسط نيسان/أبريل الماضي، آلاف الوثائق ورصد تحويل مبالغ مالية تتجاوز 326 مليون دولار منسوبة إلى سلامة وشقيقه رجا، وحدث ذلك عبر اتفاق وُقِّع عام 2002.
في المقابل، ينفي رياض سلامة، كل التهم الموجهة إليه، ويؤكد أنّ معاملاته “شفافة”، وأنّ مصادر ثروته “واضحة وموثوقة
