The Syrian Observer of Human Rights documents 194 summarily executions of civilians in as-Suwaydā’ and warns about a humanitarian catastrophe amidst the escalating agitation and total mobilization.

The Syrian Observer for Human Rights registered more than 1000 people killed in as-Suwaydā’ Province during 7 days within the escalating violence, including 194 civilians who had been summarily executed amidst the continuing clashes and ever more deteriorating humanitarian situation in the region.
The Observer demanded forming an independent U.N. fact finding committee to “reveal the violations and to account those involved in spilling the blood of the Syrian people”, in light of what it called as “a catastrophic death toll” witnessed in the province.
The escalating situation remained in as-Suwaydā’ casting its shadow on it, while the humanitarian situation remains deteriorating with the lack of drinking water and electricity and there is a soaring lack of food and medical supplies, as there is a large number of wounded that are not receiving necessary treatment.
The informations state that the National Hospital on as-Suwaydā’ is facing a tragic situation, as its freezers are full of bodies and there is no more room for them, while there are bodies around the hospital for days and a terrible odor started to rise. At the same time there is a lack of basic medical supplies and the local population is unable to bury the victims who fell since the beginning of the escalation.
In this context the local media close to the government, or other states witnessed a large scale wave of agitation that included airing video footages claiming that massacres had been committed against the women and children of the Bedouin tribes by the armed men of the Druze faith.
Only one of these footage came to be true, showing the killing of a Bedouin women, a child and a man about which the Druze are accused, while the rest of the footages were proven to either document violations committed against the Druze community, or show previous incidents that had happened in Syria, or even outside of Syria.
This wave of agitation has led to the announcement of total mobilization by the Arab tribes against as-Suwaydā’, which eventually led to the renewal of the clashes in various regions during the last few days and even more victims have fallen, while there was looting against the homes and the properties of the Druze civilians in several villages by the hands of the armed tribal groups.
According to the Observer the death toll since 13 July has risen to 1017 people killed, including 440 residents of as-Suwaydā’ Province , including 104 civilians (among them 6 children and 16 women), and 361 troops of the Ministry of Defense and the General Security, including 18 members of the Bedouin tribes and an armed Lebanese citizen.
In addition to 15 troops of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Interior who were killed following the Israeli airstrikes, 3 people, one woman and two unidentified persons were killed by the bombardment of the Israeli planes against the building of the Ministry of Defense and also one journalist was killed during the clashes.
In addition to the 194 people, including 28 women, 8 children and one elderly men summarily executed by the bullets of the troops of the Ministry of Defense and Interior, 3 members of the Bedouin tribes, including one women and a child were executed by the hands of the Druze fighters.

The Observer also confirmed that “the tribal fighters are carrying out killings, arson and looting in as-Suwaydā’ and moving around in front of the security forces without being opposed”.
It explained that the clashes in the northern region of as-Suwaydā’ “came within the attack carried out by tribal groups supported by the troops of the Ministry of Defense and Interior wearing tribal clothing”.
In light of these developments the Syrian Observer for Human Rights reiterated its call for the international community to form an independent and neutral U.N. fact finding commission and investigate all violations that took place since the beginning of the escalation, including the targeted attack against civilians and the summarily executions and to hand over the responsible to justice, in accordance to the international law and the humanitarian norms.
It explained that the rift within the Syrian people is deepening, just like it happened by the governmental support that was provided to the Arab tribes, instead of taking steps to contain the division and stopping the bloodshed of the Syrians.

المرصد السوري يوثّق إعدام 194 مدنياً ميدانياً في السويداء، ويحذّر من كارثة. إنسانية وسط تصاعد التحريض والنفير العام

سجّل المرصد السوري لحقوق الإنسان سقوط أكثر من 1000 قتيل في محافظة. السويداء خلال 7 أيام من التصعيد العنيف، من بينهم 194 مدنياً أُعدموا ميدانياً، وسط استمرار الاشتباكات وازدياد تدهور الأوضاع الإنسانية في المنطقة.
وطالب المرصد بتشكيل لجنة تحقيق أممية مستقلة لـ “كشف الانتهاكات. ومحاسبة المتورطين في إراقة دم الشعب السوري”، في ظل ما وصفه بـ”الحصيلة الكارثية” التي تشهدها المحافظة.
وتبقى حالة التصعيد في السويداء تُلقي بظلالها على المشهد العام، في ظل أوضاع إنسانية. متدهورة تشمل انعدام مياه الشرب والكهرباء، ونقصًا حادًا في المواد الغذائية والطبية، وسط وجود. عدد كبير من الجرحى الذين لا يتلقون الرعاية اللازمة.
وأفادت المعلومات أن مشفى السويداء الوطني يواجه أوضاعاً مأساوية، حيث امتلأت غرف. التبريد بالجثامين ولم تعد تتسع، في حين تنتشر جثث أخرى في أنحاء المشفى منذ أيام وبدأت تنبعث. منها الروائح، بالتوازي مع انعدام المواد الطبية الأساسية، وعدم تمكّن الأهالي من دفن الضحايا الذين سقطوا منذ بدء التصعيد.
وفي هذا السياق، شهدت وسائل إعلام محلية مقربة من الحكومة وأخرى دولية حملة. تحريض واسعة، شملت نشر مقاطع مصورة تزعم ارتكاب مجازر بحق نساء وأطفال من عشائر البدو على يد مسلحين من الطائفة الدرزية.
وقد تبيّن أن مقطعاً واحداً فقط منها صحيح، يُظهر مقتل امرأة وطفل ورجل من أبناء. البدو، واتُهم فيه مسلحون دروز، بينما تبيّن أن باقي المقاطع إما توثق انتهاكات ارتُكبت بحق أبناء الطائفة. الدرزية أو تعود لأحداث سابقة داخل سوريا أو خارجها.
وأدت هذه الحملة إلى إعلان النفير العام من قبل العشائر العربية باتجاه السويداء، ما أسفر عن. تجدّد الاشتباكات في مناطق متفرقة خلال الأيام الماضية، وسقوط مزيد من الضحايا، إضافة إلى. عمليات اقتحام لمنازل وممتلكات مدنيين دروز في عدة قرى، على يد مسلحين من العشائر.
وبحسب المرصد، ارتفعت حصيلة الضحايا منذ صباح الأحد 13 تموز إلى 1017 قتيلاً، منهم 440 من أبناء. محافظة السويداء بينهم 104 مدنيين (منهم 6 أطفال و16 سيدة)، و361 من عناصر وزارة. الدفاع والأمن العام بينهم 18 من أبناء العشائر البدوية ومسلح لبناني الجنسية.
بالإضافة إلى 15 من عناصر وزارتي الدفاع والداخلية قتلوا جراء الغارات الإسرائيلية، و3 أشخاص. بينهم سيدة و2 مجهولي الهوية قتلوا في قصف الطيران الإسرائيلي مبنى وزارة الدفاع، وإعلامي واحد قتل خلال الاشتباكات.
إلى جانب 194 شخصاً بينهم 28 امرأة و8 أطفال ورجل مسن أُعدموا ميدانياً برصاص عناصر. من وزارتي الدفاع والداخلية، و3 من أبناء عشائر البدو بينهم سيدة وطفل أُعدموا ميدانياً على يد المسلحين الدروز.

كما أكّد المرصد أن “مقاتلي العشائر ينفّذون أعمال قتل وإحراق وسرقة في السويداء، ويمرون. من أمام القوات الأمنية دون أن يتم اعتراضهم”.
وأوضح أنّ الاشتباكات في ريف السويداء الشمالي “تأتي في سياق. هجوم تنفّذه مجموعات من العشائر مدعومة بعناصر من وزارتي الدفاع والداخلية، يرتدون زيّ العشائر”.
وفي ضوء هذه التطورات، جدّد المرصد السوري دعوته إلى المجتمع الدولي لتشكيل لجنة. تحقيق أممية مستقلة ومحايدة، للتحقيق في جميع الانتهاكات التي وقعت منذ بدء التصعيد، بما في ذلك استهداف المدنيين. والإعدامات الميدانية الجماعية، وتقديم المسؤولين عنها إلى العدالة، وفقاً للقوانين الدولية والمعايير الإنسانية.
