The leadership of the National Guard in as-Suwaydā’ announces repelling drone and howitzer shelling attacks and infiltration attempts carried out by forces belonging to the government in Damascus.

The leadership of the National Guard in as-Suwaydā’ issued a statement, in which it described the forces of the Syrian government as “terrorists”, saying that “the terrorist forces of the government in Damascus centering in the occupied towns of Rīmat Ḥāzim and al-Mazra‘a in the western countryside of as-Suwaydā’ on Thursday dawn started to attack the town of al-Mağdal with drones and “howitzer shells” in an aggression threatening the security of the civilians and breaking the current ceasefire”.
The statement explained that the aggression caused two injured, who were taken to the hospital to receive treatment, in addition to material damages in the local properties.
Another group tried to infiltrate into one of the positions along the northwestern front of the city under drone cover, which eventually caused 4 injuries.
The forces of the National Guard confirmed that they dealt with the sources if the shelling with appropriate measures and managed to destroy a “howitzer” launch platform. They also dealt with the infiltrators and eliminated a number of them, while ensuring full control over the situation on the ground.
The statement ended with confirming that any infiltration attempt, or breaking the ceasefire will be dealt with a definite response, while at the same time they are protecting the local population and defending the land of the mountain area.
One of the spiritual leaders of the Druze community in Syria, aš-Šayh Ḥikmat al-Hiğrī had founded the “National Guard” forces at the end of last August by retired officers and armed groups in as-Suwaydā’ to unite them under one military body.
The region of as-Suwaydā’ and its surroundings have been witnessing sporadic clashes for weeks between the “National Guard” and the forces of the Syrian regime.

أصدرت قيادة قوات الحرس الوطني في السويداء بياناً وصفت فيه قوات الحكومة السورية. بـ”الإرهابية”، قائلةً إنّ “قوات حكومة دمشق الإرهابية المتمركزة في بلدتي ريمة حازم. والمزرعة المحتلتين في ريف السويداء الغربي، أقدمت فجر اليوم على استهداف. بلدة المجدل بطائرات مسيّرة و”قذائف هاون”، في اعتداء يهدد أمن المدنيين وينتهك الهدنة القائمة”.
وأوضح البيان أن الاعتداء أسفر عن إصابتين نُقلتا إلى المستشفى لتلقّي العلاج، إضافة إلى. أضرار مادية في ممتلكات الأهالي.
كما حاولت مجموعة أخرى التسلل إلى إحدى. النقاط على المحور الشمالي الغربي للمدينة بتغطية من الطائرات المسيرة، ما أدى. إلى وقوع 4 إصابات
وأكدت قوات الحرس الوطني أنها تعاملت مع مصادر إطلاق. القذائف بالوسائط المناسبة، وتمكنت من إعطاب منصة إطلاق “هاون” والتعامل. مع العناصر المتسللين والقضاء على عدد منهم، مع تثبيت السيطرة. الكاملة على الوضع الميداني.
