Algeria is preparing for the Arab Summit, which will be held in its capital in March, and therefore a telephone conversation was held between the Algerian Foreign Minister and his Qatari colleague, while President Tabbūn is visiting Egypt in the next few days.

Algerian Foreign Minister Ramṭān La‘māmara today, on Monday held a telephone conversation with his Qatari counterpart Muḥammad ibn ‘Abd ar-Raḥmān Āl Tānī.

La‘māmara said in a Twitter post that “he discussed with his Qatari colleague the nature of the bilateral relations and the preparations for the expected duties, apart from the developments of the situation in the Arab fold”.

Arab media channel reported in the last two days citing Algerian sources described to be insightful that “there is a fervent attempt by the Algerian diplomacy, enjoying Egyptian, Saudi and Emirati support with the aim to convince the Arab states, specifically Qatar to revoke their opposition to the return of Damascus to the Arab League in the Algerian summit next March”.

In the same context comes the visit by Algerian President ‘Abd al-Mağīd Tabbūn to the Egyptian capital Cairo within the next few days, according to what was revealed by Egyptian media report on Monday.

The aim of the Algerian activity either of the level of the President, or the Foreign Ministry to first of all secure the representation on the Arab Summit, and secondly to ensure the participation of Syria, so that the next Arab Summit will be a Summit of Palestine including the whole Arab fold, as it is desired by Algeria.

At the end of November last year Algerian Foreign Minister Ramṭān La‘māmara  confirmed that there will be an attempt in the Arab Summit to unite the positions about the matter of Palestinian rights, as he also said that Syria is supposed to take part in the summit, which will be held next March in Algiers.

اتصال هاتفي بين وزيري خارجيتَي الجزائر وقطر.. وتبون يزور مصر

الجزائر تستعد للقمة العربية التي ستُعقد في عاصمتها في آذار/مارس، بحيث جرى اتصال هاتفي بين وزيري الخارجية الجزائري ونظيره القطري، بينما يزور الرئيس تبون مصر في الأيام المقبلة.

أجرى وزير الخارجية الجزائري، رمطان لعمامرة، اليوم الإثنين، اتصالاً هاتفياً بنظيره القطري محمد بن عبد الرحمن آل ثاني.

وقال لعمامرة، في تغريدة له في “تويتر”، إنَّه “عرض مع الوزير القطري وضع العلاقات الثنائية، والتحضيرات للاستحقاقات المنتظرة، فضلاً عن مستجدات الأوضاع في الساحة العربية”.

ونقلت وسائل إعلامٍ عربية، خلال اليومين الماضيين، عن مصادر جزائرية وصفتها بالمطلعة، قولها إن “هناك مساعيَ حثيثةً تقوم بها الدبلوماسية الجزائرية، بدعمٍ مصري وسعودي وإماراتي، بهدف إقناع الدول العربية، وتحديداً قطر، بسحب اعتراضها على عودة دمشق إلى الجامعة العربية في قمة الجزائر في شهر آذار/مارس المقبل”.

وفي السياق ذاته، تأتي زيارة الرئيس الجزائري، عبد المجيد تبون، للعاصمة المصرية القاهرة، خلال الأيام القليلة المقبلة، بحسب ما كشفت تقارير إعلامية مصرية، اليوم الإثنين.

وتهدف تحركات الجزائر، سواء على مستوى رئاسة الجمهورية أو وزارة الخارجية، إلى ضمان تمثيلٍ من الصف الأول لجهة الحضور في القمة العربية، وثانياً تأمين حضور سوريا، لتكون القمة العربية المقبلة هي قمة فلسطين، وجمع شمل الصف العربي، كما تطمح الجزائر.

وأواخر تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر الماضي، أكَّد وزير الخارجية الجزائري، رمطان لعمامرة، أنه سيتمّ السعي في القمة العربية لتوحيد الموقف بشأن الحقوق الفلسطينية، كما قال إنَّ من المفترض مشاركة سوريا في القمة، التي ستُعقد في شهر آذار/مارس المقبل في العاصمة الجزائر
