The Military Council of as-Suwaydā’ announces holding itself to the statement of aš-Šayh Ḥikmat al-Hiğrī requesting immediate international protection and a safe zone under the supervision of international forces, calling for an international investigation about the crime targeting civilians.

The Military Council in as-Suwaydā’ in Southern Syria announced that it fully commits itself to the statement of aš-Šayh Ḥikmat al-Hiğrī, the spiritual leader of the Muslim Druze faith, requesting immediate international protection and a safe zone under the supervision of neutral international forces to stop the bloodshed in the province.

In the official statement the Military Council called upon the U.N. Security Council to impose a safe zone in as-Suwaydā’ and the areas around it under the supervision of neutral international forces to stop the bloodshed. It also requested the United Nations to send an immediate investigation team to document the crimes committed in the region and to internationally account those who are involved in them.

The Military Council warned the states that are supporting the “Hay’at Taḥrīr aš-Šām” about “continuing to finance the terrorist groups that are carrying out sectarian cleansing violating the U.N. Charter”.

The Council confirmed its readiness to strengthen the security cooperation with any international side that is serious about protecting the civilians, underlining that it “it will not allow in any form the entry of the so called General Security forces to the al-‘Arab Mountain”, protecting the social peace.

The statement pointed out that the Council will confront with upmost power any future attack in accordance with the stipulations of the international humanitarian law, confirming that “the terrorist groups aim to dismantle the unity of the region by spreading religious fanatic ideology and informing its own rule by force, specifically targeting the Druze identity”.

The Council also pointed out that “the silence of the world about the crime committed in Ṣaḥnāyā and the attacks in as-Suwaydā and Ğaramānā supports terrorism and encourages to repeating them”. Also underlining that “the blood of the Druze is not any less precious than the others and that the protection of the civilians is a humanitarian responsibility, before it being a political one”.

Also, the Council confirmed that the systematic war crimes against the Druze civilians in the city of Ṣaḥnāyā included random killing of innocent people under sectarian pretexts and summarily detentions, in addition to the humiliation of Druze shaykhs, their symbols and their holy sites.

أعلن المجلس العسكري في السويداء، جنوب سوريا، تبنّيه الكامل لبيان الشيخ حكمت الهجري، الرئيس. الروحي لطائفة الموحّدين المسلمين الدروز، مطالباً بحماية دولية فورية ومنطقة آمنة. تحت إشراف قوات دولية محايدة، لوقف نزيف الدماء في المحافظة.

وفي بيان رسمي، دعا المجلس مجلس الأمن الدولي إلى فرض منطقة آمنة في. السويداء والمناطق المحيطة، تحت إشراف قوات دولية محايدة، لوقف نزيف الدماء. كما طالب الأمم المتحدة بإرسال فرق. تحقيق عاجلة لتوثيق الجرائم المرتكبة في المنطقة، ومحاكمة المتورّطين دولياً.

وحذّر المجلس العسكري الدول الداعمة لـ “هيئة تحرير الشام” من “استمرار تمويلها لجماعات. إرهابية تُمارس التطهير الطائفي، بما ينتهك المواثيق الدولية”.  

وأكد المجلس استعداده لتعزيز التنسيق الأمني مع أيّ جهة دولية جادّة لحماية. المدنيين، مشدّداً على أنه “لن يسمح بأي شكل من الأشكال بدخول ما يسمّى قوات الأمن العامّ إلى جبل العرب”، حفاظاً على السلم الأهلي.

وأشار البيان إلى أن المجلس، سيتصدّى بأقصى قوة لأيّ اعتداءات مستقبلية، وفقاً لمواد. القانون الدولي الإنساني، مؤكداً أنّ “الجماعات الإرهابية تسعى إلى تفكيك وحدة المنطقة. عبر نشر الفكر التكفيري، وفرض هيمنتها بالقوة، مستهدفةً الهوية الدرزية بشكل خاص”.

كما لفت المجلس إلى أنّ “صمت العالم عن الجرائم المرتكبة في صحنايا والاعتداءات. في السويداء وجرمانا يُكافئ الإرهاب، ويشجّع على تكرارها”، مشدّداً على أن “دماء الدروز ليست أرخص من. غيرها، وأنّ حماية المدنيين مسؤولية إنسانية قبل أن تكون سياسية”.

كذلك، أكد المجلس أنه تمّ توثيق جرائم حرب ممنهجة ضد المدنيين الدروز في مدينة. صحنايا، شملت القتل العشوائي لأبرياء عزّل تحت ذرائع طائفية، والاعتقالات التعسفية، بالإضافة. إلى إهانة مشايخ الطائفة الدرزية ورموزها ومقدّساتها
