A minimum of 80 people were martyred and around two hundred people got injured in an attack committed by drones against the Military Academy in Ḥimṣ. The Syrian Foreign Ministry considered the attack as “the continuation of the terrorist doctrine, but this will not deter Damascus from combatting the terrorism”.

Syrian Minister of Health Ḥasan al-Ġabbāš announced that the preliminary and not final scale is 80 martyrs, of whom 6 women and 6 children and also around 240 were injured in a terrorist attack against the Military Academy in Ḥimṣ.
After the event, the Syrian Foreign Ministry condemned “the heinous crime” that was purported by “the terrorist organizations” and confirmed that it considers it to be the conviction of its purported “in their terrorist and barbaric ideology” from which the Syrian people have been suffering throughout the last few years.
It added in its statement that this attack “will not deter” Damascus from going forward with its intention to “uproot the dems of terrorism and its followers”.
The Syrian government announced an official mourning for three days for the souls of the martyrs of the terrorist attack.
The Army: We will hit back with full force and determination
On its behalf, a Syrian military statement confirmed that a number of civilian and army martyrs have fallen by the attack “of drones carrying explosive devices”, while also dozens of injuries happened amongst them severe wounds within the invited guests.
The statement issued by the Syrian Army Command confirms that it “will hit back with full force and determination at the terrorist organizations, whenever they would be and to account those who planned this attack”.
The explosion took place while the graduating cadets took commemorative pictures with their relatives on the occasion of the graduation.
About the presence of the Syrian Defense Minister at the incident a high-level security source denied to Sputnik this news, which was circulated by certain newspapers and websites.
The source said that the minister was present at the ceremony, but left the Military Academy after the ceremony ended and the terrorist attack took place 21 minutes after his departure.
Attacking the hideouts of the Turkestani Party in rural Idlib
On the other hand the correspondent of al-Mayadeen in Syria on Thursday reported that the artillery of the Syrian Army bombarded the hideouts of the Turkestani Islamic Party around the city of Ğisr aš-Šuġūr in the Northwestern countryside of Idlib is still under the control of the armed fighters of the Taḥrīr aš-Šām Organization.
The Ministry has confirmed that the targeted attack led to “the destruction of the headquarters and the fortifications, while also a number of artillery pieces have been destroyed”. Thus also it has been announced that a number of members of the armed members of organizations have been killed, or injured who belonged to the “Anṣār at-Tawḥīd” terrorist organization.

أعلن وزير الصحة السوري، حسن الغباش، أنّ الحصيلة الأولية غير نهائية، بلغت 80 شهيداً، منهم 6 نساء و6 أطفال، ونحو 240 إصابة جراء الاعتداء الإرهابي على الكلية الحربية بحمص.
وبعد الحادث، أعلنت الخارجية السورية إدانتها “الجريمة النكراء” التي ارتكبتها “التنظيمات الإرهابية”. وأكدت أنّها تعبّر عن إمعان مرتكبيها في “نهجهم الإرهابي الوحشي”، الذي عانى بسببه الشعب السوري طوال الأعوام الماضية.
وأضافت، في بيانها، أنّ هذا الهجوم “لن يثني” سوريا عن المضي قدماً في سعيها “لاستئصال آفة الإرهاب ورعاته”.
وأعلنت الحكومة السورية الحداد الرسمي، لمدة ثلاثة أيام، على أرواح شهداء الهجوم الإرهابي.
الجيش: سنردّ بكل قوة وحزم
من جهته، أكّد بيان عسكري سوري ارتقاء عدد من الشهداء من مدنيين وعسكريين، من جراء هجوم “مسيّرات تحمل ذخائر متفجرة”، فضلاً عن وقوع عشرات الجرحى، بينهم إصابات حرجة في صفوف الأهالي المدعوّين.
وأضاف البيان الصادر أنّ قيادة الجيش السوري تؤكّد أنها “ستردّ بكل قوة وحزم على التنظيمات الإرهابية أينما وجدت، وتشدّد على محاسبة المخطّطين”.
ووقع الانفجار في أثناء قيام الطلاب الخريجين بالتقاط الصور التذكارية مع ذويهم بمناسبة التخرّج.
وبشأن وجود وزير الدفاع السوري في موقع الحدث، نفى مصدر أمني رفيع المستوى لـ”سبوتنيك” هذا الخبر، الذي تناقلته بعض الصفحات والمواقع.
وقال المصدر إنّ الوزير حضر الاحتفال وغادر الكلية الحربية عقب انتهاء مراسم الحفل، وأن الاعتداء الإرهابي جرى بعد 21 دقيقة من مغادرته لها.
استهداف مقار الحزب التركستاني في ريف إدلب
على صعيد آخر، أفاد مراسل الميادين في سوريا، اليوم الخميس، بأنّ مدفعية الجيش السوري قصفت مقارّ للحزب الإسلامي التركستاني في محيط مدينة جسر الشغور، في ريف إدلب الشمالي الغربي، والخاضعة لسيطرة مسلحي هيئة تحرير الشام.
وأكّدت الوزراة أنّ الاستهداف أدى إلى “تدمير المقار والتحصينات، بالإضافة إلى تدمير عددٍ من مدافع الهاون”، معلنةً مقتل وجرح عدد مِن مسلحي التنظيمات، المنتمين إلى تنظيم “أنصار التوحيد” الإرهابي
