A telephone conversation between Egyptian Foreign Minister Sāmiḥ Šukrī and acting Iranian Foreign Minister ‘Alī Bāqerī Konī discussing the developments of the bilateral relations between Egypt and Iran and the developments in the situation in Gaza in light of the continued Israeli aggression against the area.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry announced that on Wednesday night Egyptian Foreign Minister Sāmiḥ Šukrī received a telephone call from acting Iranian Foreign Minister ‘Alī Bāqerī Konī.

Official spokesman of the Foreign Ministry Aḥmad Abū Zayd said that Šukrī and Bāqerī Konī discussed the developments of the bilateral ties between Egypt and Iran and the Israeli aggression against Gaza.

Abū Zayd pointed out that the acting Iranian Foreign Minister expressed the thanks of his country for Egyptian President ‘Abd al-Fattāḥ as-Sīsī expressing his condolences for the martyrdom of Iranian President Ebrāhīm Ra’īsī and his companion to the Foreign Minister in Tehran.

Bāqerī Konī also appreciated Egypt’s position and solidarity with the Iranian people in its painful ordeal following the crash of the President’s helicopter in Eastern Azerbaijan Province on 18 May.

According to Abū Zayd the two ministers addressed the matters concerning the bilateral ties between Egypt and Iran, as they both confirmed “following on the path of developing bilateral relations including the solution of all pending matters and preparing the reestablishment of the relations to their natural status based on the principles of mutual respect, good neighborly relations working towards achieving the interests of the Egyptian and Iranian peoples and supporting the stability of the regions”.

Šukrī and Bāqerī Konī also discussed the situation in Gaza in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression against the [Gaza] Strip continuing its crimes and operations of mass extermination of the Palestinians.

During the conversation Šukrī presented the efforts taken by the Egyptian-Qatari mediation to reach a deal leading to a ceasefire that would allow a prisoners exchange and the delivery of aid, finally reaching a lasting ceasefire and the withdrawal of the Israeli forces from Gaza.

At the end of the conversation the two ministers agreed on keeping up the intensity of the coordination about the developing bilateral ties and the ways to defuse the current crisis in the Gaza Strip, combating the challenges concerning the regional and international escalation.

أعلنت وزارة الخارجية المصرية أن وزير الخارجية سامح شكري تلقى اتصالاً هاتفياً، ليل الأربعاء. الخميس، من جانب وزير الخارجية الإيراني بالوكالة علي باقري كني.

وقال المتحدث الرسمي باسم الخارجية أحمد أبو زيد إن شكري وباقري كني بحثا تطوير العلاقات الثنائية. بين مصر وإيران، والعدوان الإسرائيلي على غزة.

وأشار أبو زيد إلى أن وزير الخارجية الإيراني بالوكالة أعرب عن شكر بلاده وتقديرها لتقديم الرئيس المصري. عبد الفتاح السيسي واجب العزاء باستشهاد الرئيس الإيراني إبراهيم رئيسي ورفاقه، ولإيفاده وزير الخارجية إلى طهران.

وثمّن باقري كنّي أيضاً لمصر موقفها وتضامنها مع الشعب الإيراني في مصابه الأليم، إثر فاجعة. تحطم طائرة الرئيس في محافظة أذربيجان الشرقية يوم السبت في 18 أيار/مايو الماضي.

ووفق أبو زيد، تطرّق الوزيران إلى الموضوعات المرتبطة بالعلاقات الثنائية بين مصر وإيران، حيث أكدا. أهمية “متابعة مسار تطوير العلاقات الثنائية بما يضمن معالجة كافة القضايا العالقة، تمهيداً لاستعادة. العلاقات إلى طبيعتها، استناداً إلى مبادئ الاحترام المتبادل وحسن الجوار، والعمل على تحقيق مصالح الشعبين المصري والإيراني، ودعم استقرار المنطقة”.

كما ناقش شكري وباقري كني الأوضاع في غزة، في ظل استمرار العدوان الإسرائيلي على القطاع. ومواصلة جرائمه وعمليات الإبادة بحق الفلسطينيين.

وخلال الاتصال، استعرض شكري الجهود  المبذولة من جانب الوساطة المصرية-القطرية للتوصل. إلى صفقة تؤدى إلى هدنة تسمح بتبادل الأسرى وإدخال المساعدات، وصولاً إلى. تحقيق وقف دائم لإطلاق النار، وخروج القوات الإسرائيلية من غزة.

وفي نهاية الاتصال، اتفق الوزيران على الحفاظ على وتيرة التشاور بشأن مسار العلاقات الثنائية، وسبل. حلحلة الأزمة الراهنة في قطاع غزة، ومواجهة التحديات المرتبطة بها على الصعيدين الإقليمي والدولي
