President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in Sudan ‘Abd al-Fattāḥ al-Burhān receives Qatari State Minister for Foreign Affairs Sulṭān ibn Sa‘ad al-Murayhī and the latter confirms that his country stands by the legal government and the armed forces combating the challenges Sudan is facing.

President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in Sudan and commander of the armed forces ‘Abd al-Fattāḥ al-Burhān received Qatari State Minister for Foreign Affairs Sulṭān ibn Sa‘ad al-Murayhī in his office on Wednesday.
Al-Murayhī confirmed that his country stands on the side of the legal government and the Sudanese armed forces combating the challenges Sudan is facing.
On his behalf Sudanese Deputy Foreign Minister Ḥussayn al-Amīn said in a press conference that the Qatari Minister expressed his hope that “the peace fills Sudan”, confirming “the support of his country to all friendly initiatives aiming this”.
He explained that “the President of the Sovereignty Council during the meeting expressed his gratitude and the gratitude of the Sudanese people for the friendly stance of the State of Qatar and its leadership supporting the government and the people of Sudan”.
Al-Amīn underlined the “capability of the Sudanese armed forces and people to get through the current phase with dedication and force protecting Sudan, its people and the territorial integrity”.
The meeting between al-Burhān and al-Murayhī took place in the presence of the Sudanese Deputy Foreign Minister and the director of the “General Intelligence Service” of the country Lieutenant General Aḥmad Ibrāhīm Mufaḍḍal.

استقبل رئيس مجلس السيادة الانتقالي في السودان، القائد العام للقوات المسلحة، عبد الفتاح. البرهان، وزير الدولة القطرية للشؤون الخارجية، سلطان بن سعد المريخي، في مكتبه، الأربعاء.
وأكد المريخي وقوف بلاده إلى جانب الحكومة الشرعية والقوات المسلحة السودانية في مواجهة التحديات التي تواجه السودان.
بدوره، قال وكيل وزارة الخارجية السودانية، حسين الأمين، في تصريح صحافي، إنّ الوزير. القطري أعرب عن أمله في أن “يعمّ السلام ربوع السودان”، مؤكداً “دعم بلاده لكل مبادرة صادقة تهدف إلى ذلك”.
وأوضح أن “رئيس المجلس السيادي أعرب خلال اللقاء، عن تقديره وتقدير الشعب السوداني. للمواقف الصادقة لدولة قطر وقيادتها المساندة لحكومة السودان وشعبه”.
وشدّد الأمين على “قدرة القوات المسلحة والشعب السوداني على تجاوز المرحلة الحالية بثبات وقوة بما يحفظ السودان وشعبه ووحدة أرضه”.
