Local sources report to al-Mayadeen today, on Saturday that the forces of the Army and the Popular Committees secured the vast Eastern al-Balaq mountain range and thus continue their progress in the fronts southeast of Ma’rib.
The sources of al-Mayadeen added that there are “continuing splits on the ground amongst the forces of Hādī and the Iṣlāḥ Party despite the heavy areal support by the Saudi Coalition”.
The sources also pointed out that “tens of deaths and injuries fell within the ranks of Hādī’s and the Iṣlāḥ’s forces in the ongoing battles in the frontlines at Ma’rib”.
Previously the sources on the ground announced to al-Mayadeen the “liberation of the Eastern al-Balaq mountain range directly adjacent to the Yemeni city of Ma’rib”. Thus explaining that “the al-Balaq mountain range is the last high ground for the defense city of Ma’rib from the southeastern fronts”.
The sources confirmed that “only few days divide that Yemeni Army and the Popular Committees from the full liberation of the city of Ma’rib”. Thus pointing out that “the Yemeni Army command grants the last opportunity to those who haven’t surrendered to settle their status”.
Defense Minister of the government in Sanaa Muḥammad al-‘Āṭifī pointed out that most regions of Ma’rib Province have been secured by the Army and the Popular Committees, saying that “the recapture of the city of Ma’rib is only a matter of time and you will hear the news of its return to the nation very soon”.

مصادر محلية للميادين تفيد بأنّ قوات الجيش اليمني واللجان الشعبية أمّنت سلسة جبال البلق الشرقية المترامية، فيما تواصل تقدمها نحو مدينة مأرب.
أفادت مصادر محلية للميادين، اليوم السبت، بأنّ قوات الجيش واللجان الشعبية أمّنت سلسة جبال البلق الشرقية المترامية، فيما تواصل تقدمها في جبهات جنوبي وشرقي مدينة مأرب.
وأضافت مصادر الميادين أنّ هناك “انكسارات ميدانية متواصلة لقوات هادي وحزب الإصلاح رغم الغطاء الجوي المكثف للتحالف السعودي”.
كما لفتت المصادر إلى وقوع “عشرات القتلى والجرحى في صفوف قوات هادي والإصلاح في المعارك المستمرة بجبهات القتال في مأرب”.
وفي وقت سابق، أعلنت مصادر ميدانية للميادين “تحرير سلسلة جبال البلق الشرقية على تماس مع مدينة مأرب اليمنية”، موضحةً أنّ “سلسلة جبال البلق هي آخر مرتفع للدفاع عن مدينة مأرب من الجهة الجنوبية الشرقية”.
وأكّدت المصادر أكدت أنّ “أياماً قليلة تفصل الجيش اليمني واللجان الشعبية عن تحرير مدينة مأرب بالكامل”، لافتةً إلى أنّ “القيادة العسكرية اليمنية تمنح الفرصة الأخيرة للذين لم يستسلموا لترتيب أوضاعهم”.
وكان وزير الدفاع في حكومة صنعاء اللواء محمد العاطفي لفت إلى أنه تم تأمين معظم مديريات محافظة مأرب من قبل الجيش واللجان الشعبية، قائلاً إن “استعادة مدينة مأرب مسألة وقت وستسمعون في القريب العاجل أخبار استعادتها إلى حضن الوطن
