Iranian officials receive Secretly-General of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoygu and his accompanying delegation. The discussion addressed the bilateral cooperation in the fields of security, trade and economy and the developments in the region.

On Monday Secretary-General of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoygu condemned the assassination operation against President of the Ḥamās Movement’s Political Bureau Ismā‘īl Haniyya in Tehran, pointing out that “the perpetrators of this crime aim to increase the tension in the region”.
During his visit to Tehran Shoygu expressed “the readiness of Russia to fully cooperate with the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially in the regional matters”.
On his behalf Commander of the General Staff Organization of Iran Major General Moḥammad Bāqerī, who received Shoygu and the delegation accompanying him confirmed that the Iranian-Russian relations are strategic, deep and long term ones which are not effected by the changing governments.
Bāqerī said that “America knows well that the world has passed the unipolarity”, welcoming the “trilateral cooperation between Iran, Russia and China”.
Secretary General of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council ‘Alī Akbar Aḥmadiyān held a meeting with his Russian counterpart and the mutually important matters were addressed.
Shoygu had arrived in Tehran on Monday in order to hold talks with the leading Iranian officials and the military leaders, especially with President Mas‘ūd Pezeškiyān.
According to what the Iranian Tasnīm agency mentioned the visit by Shoygu, who had worked on the post of Russian Defense Minister – came by the invitation of Iranian Supreme National Security Council ‘Alī Akbar Aḥmadiyān. The agency explained that the visit aims to “strengthen the communication and discuss the regional and international matters, but also the bilateral security and political affairs”.
Few days ago Russia strongly condemned the Israeli attack that had led to the martyrdom of Ismā‘īl Haniyya in Tehran, underlining that “the political assassination is unacceptable”.

دان الأمين العام لمجلس الأمن الروسي، سيرغي شويغو، اليوم الإثنين، عملية اغتيال رئيس المكتب السياسي. لحركة حماس، إسماعيل هنية، في طهران، لافتاً إلى أنّ “مرتكبي هذه الجريمة يسعون لزيادة التوتر في المنطقة”.
وأعرب شويغو، خلال زيارته طهران، عن “استعداد روسيا للتعاون الكامل مع الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية، ولاسيما في الشؤون الإقليمية”.
بدوره، أكّد رئيس هيئة الأركان في إيران، اللواء محمد باقري، الذي استقبل شويغو والوفد المرافق له، أنّ العلاقات. الإيرانية الروسية هي علاقات استراتيجية وعميقة وطويلة الأمد، ولن تتأثر بتغير الحكومات.
وقال باقري إنّ “أميركا تعلم جيداً بأنّ العالم ترك أحادية القطب”، مرحباً بـ”التعاون الثلاثي بين إيران وروسيا والصين”.
وعقد الأمين العام للمجلس الأعلى للأمن القومي في إيران، علي أكبر أحمديان، اجتماعاً بنظيره الروسي، وتمّ البحث. في القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
ووصل شويغو إلى طهران، اليوم، من أجل إجراء محادثات مع كبار المسؤولين الإيرانيين، والقادة العسكريين، ولاسيما رئيس الجمهورية، مسعود بزشكيان.
وتأتي زيارة شويغو – الذي شغل سابقاً منصب وزير الدفاع الروسي – تلبيةً لدعوة الأمين العام للمجلس الأعلى للأمن. القومي في إيران، علي أكبر أحمديان، وفقاً لما ذكرت وكالة تسنيم الإيرانية، التي أوضحت أنّ الزيارة. هدفها “تعزيز التواصل، والبحث في القضايا الإقليمية والدولية، والعلاقات الأمنية والسياسية الثنائية”.
