Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council Major General Moḥsen Reẓā’ī confirmed that the security of the region of Western Asia must flow from within the region, underlining the need to prevent any foreign intervention.
Reẓā’ī added that the United States did not bring security to any state in the region, pointing out the incapacity of Washington to provide security guarantees.
Earlier on Tuesday official spokesman of the Iranian government Fāṭima Mohāğerānī confirmed that Iran is firmly protecting its national interests, pointing out that it has proven time and again its determination.
In a special interview with al-Mayadeen on Monday member of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee ‘Ālā ad-Dīn Borūğerdī did not exclude the possibility that the United States would go on to commit “a new foolishness”.
Borūğerdī warned that any new war will lead to raising the Iranian conditions and the Iranian response will be harsher and will cause even more destruction to the entire region.

أكّد أمين المجلس الأعلى للأمن القومي اللواء محسن رضائي، أن الأمن في منطقة غرب آسيا يجب أن ينبع من داخل المنطقة، مشدداً على ضرورة منع أي تدخل أجنبي.
وأضاف رضائي، أن الولايات المتحدة لم تجلب الأمن لأي دولة في المنطقة، لافتاً إلى عجز واشنطن عن توفير الضمانات الأمنية
وفي وقتٍ سابق اليوم الثلاثاء، أكدت المتحدثة باسم الحكومة الإيرانية فاطمة مهاجراني، أنّ إيران ثابتة في حماية مصالحها الوطنية، مشيرةً إلى أنّها ثبتت مراراً عزيمتها.
وفي حوار خاص مع الميادين أمس الاثنين، لم يستبعد عضو لجنة الأمن القومي والسياسة الخارجية في البرلمان الإيراني، علاء الدين بروجردي، احتمال إقدام الولايات المتحدة على ارتكاب “حماقة جديدة”.
وحذّر بروجردي من أنّ أيّ حرب جديدة ستؤدّي إلى رفع سقف الشروط الإيرانية، وأنّ الردّ الإيراني سيكون أكثر قسوة وسيلحق ضرراً بالمنطقة بأكملها
