On Tuesday official spokesman of the Qatari Foreign Ministry Māğid al-Anṣārī confirms that his country is waiting for a clear Israeli position in response to the suggestion of American President Joe Biden concerning Gaza.

Al-Anṣārī said that the American suggestion about Gaza must “end immediately” the long sufferings of all residents of Gaza, pointing out that the contacts are constant with the two sides of the negotiations.

The American President had announced “presenting Israel a new suggestion for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the return of the captives, including 3 stages”. Thus confirming that “that had been sent to Ḥamās for a review via Qatar”.

Biden explained that this initiative includes 3 stages, as “the first agreement lasts for 6 weeks and stipulates a total ceasefire and the withdrawal of the Israeli forces from all the populated areas in Gaza, while the some of the captives at Ḥamās are released, including the wounded, the elderly and the women. In addition to that the Palestinian captives in the Israeli prisons are released”.

As for the second stage it states that “all offensive operations are stopped indefinitely for in exchange the remaining captives being released”. Thus the third stage of this initiative involves “the beginning of the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip”, according to Biden.

Director of the Foreign Relations Office at the Ḥamās Movement Mūsāvī Abū Marzūq confirmed to al-Mayadeen that the Movement hasn’t received any papers about what American President Joe Biden offered in his speech on Friday.

On 2 June Abū Marzūq said that the American administration until than hasn’t provided any positive response from the Israeli Occupying Entity to Biden’s suggestion, and “still the Resistance demands an approval to it”.

أكّد المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية القطرية، ماجد الأنصاري، اليوم الثلاثاء، أنّ بلاده في. انتظار موقف إسرائيلي واضح، رداً على مقترح الرئيس الأميركي، جو بايدن، بخصوص غزة.

وقال الأنصاري إنّ المقترح الأميركي بشأن غزة، ينبغي أن “يُنهي على الفور” المعاناة الطويلة لجميع. سكان غزة، مشيراً إلى أنّ الاتصالات مستمرة مع الطرفين في المفاوضات.

وكان الرئيس الأميركي، قد أعلن، “تقديم إسرائيل اقتراحاً جديداً لوقف إطلاق النار في قطاع غزة. وإعادة الأسرى، يتضمّن 3 مراحل”، مؤكّداً أنّه “أُرسل إلى حركة حماس من أجل النظر فيه، عبر قطر”.

وأوضح بايدن أنّ هذه المبادرة تشتمل على 3 مراحل، بحيث “يستمر الاتفاق الأوّل مدة 6 أسابيع، وينص. على وقف كامل لإطلاق النار، وانسحاب القوات الإسرائيلية من جميع المناطق الآهلة بالسكان في غزة، وإطلاق سراح بعض الأسرى. لدى حماس، بما في ذلك الجرحى والمسنون والنساء، بالإضافة إلى إطلاق سراح معتقلين فلسطينيين من السجون الإسرائيلية”.

أمّا المرحلة الثانية، فتتضمّن “وقف الأعمال العدائية إلى أجَل غير مسمّى في مقابل إطلاق سراح. الأسرى المتبقّين”، في حين أنّ المرحلة الثالثة من هذه المبادرة تتضمّن “بدء إعادة إعمار قطاع غزة”، وفق بايدن.

وأكّد رئيس مكتب العلاقات الدولية في حركة حماس، موسى أبو مرزوق، للميادين، عدم تسلّم. الحركة أي ورقة بشأن ما عرضه الرئيس الأميركي جو بايدن، في خطابه يوم الجمعة الماضي.
