Russian President Vladimir Putin upon welcoming Palestinian President Maḥmūd ‘Abbās in Moscow confirms that his country follows the humanitarian tragedy in Palestine with great sorrow and concern and takes the utmost efforts to help the Palestinian people.

Russian President Vladimir Putin confirms that what is happening in the Middle East is not far from the concerns of Russia, despite being busy defending its interests and its people.

While receiving a delegation from the Palestinian Authority led by Palestinian President Maḥmūd ‘Abbās in Moscow, Putin said that Russia follows the humanitarian tragedy in Palestine with great sorrow and concern and takes the utmost efforts to help the Palestinian people.

The Russian President expressed his feelings full of concern about the Palestinian civilian losses that according to the United Nations has reached 40 thousand people, most of them are women and children.

The Kremlin had announced on Monday that Putin will welcome ‘Abbās in Moscow, adding that “it is expected that there will be an exchange of views about the situation in the Middle East amidst the exacerbation of the current conflict and humanitarian tragedy the Gaza Strip had not witnessed before.

 ‘Abbās arrived in Moscow in a visit that had been scheduled for a long time and lasts until Wednesday, after which he will travel to Türkiye in order to hold negotiations with President Reception Tayyip Erdoğan. He announced that the Palestinian Authority refuses the attempts to expel the population of the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Jerusalem.

During his negotiations with the Russian president ‘Abbās said: “we rely on the humanitarian aid to the Palestinians and to end the policy of expulsion. We will not accept the expulsion at it had happened in the twentieth century. We believe that with your help we will achieve our goals”.

‘Abbās said that “the United Nations because of the pressure from the United States has failed in its mission to guarantee the rights of the Palestinian people and to set up the Palestinian State”.

أكد الرئيس الروسي، فلاديمير بوتين، أنّ ما يحدث في الشرق الأوسط، لا يغيب عن اهتمام روسيا، على. رغم انشغالها بالدفاع عن مصالحها وشعبها.

وفي أثناء استقباله وفداً من السلطة الفلسطينية، ترأّسه الرئيس الفلسطيني محمود عباس، في موسكو، قال بوتين. إنّ روسيا تتابع بألم وقلق بالغين الكارثة الإنسانية في فلسطين، وتبذل قصارى جهدها لمساعدة الشعب الفلسطيني.

وأعرب الرئيس الروسي عن شعوره بالقلق إزاء الخسائر في صفوف المدنيين الفلسطينيين، والتي وصلت، بحسب. الأمم المتحدة، إلى 40 ألف شخص، معظمهم من النساء والأطفال.

وكان “الكرملين” أعلن، الإثنين، أنّ بوتين سيستقبل عباس في موسكو، مضيفاً أن “من المتوقع أن يجري تبادل وجهات. النظر بشأن الوضع في الشرق الأوسط، وسط تفاقم الصراع الحالي والكارثة الإنسانية التي لم يشهدها قطاع غزة من قبل”.

ووصل عباس إلى موسكو، في زيارة مقررة منذ فترة طويلة، وتستمر حتى غد الأربعاء، ويسافر بعدها إلى تركيا. من أجل إجراء محادثات مع الرئيس رجب طيب أردوغان. وأعلن أن السلطات الفلسطينية ترفض محاولات ترحيل السكان من قطاع غزة والضفة الغربية والقدس.

وقال عباس، خلال خلال المحادثات مع الرئيس الروسي: “نعتمد على الدعم الإنساني للفلسطينيين، وإنهاء سياسة الترحيل. لن نقبل الترحيل كما حدث من قبلُ في القرن العشرين. ونعتقد أنه بدعمكم سنحقق أهدافنا”.

وقال عباس إنّ “الأمم المتحدة، بسبب ضغط الولايات المتحدة، فشلت في مهمتها المتمثلة بضمان حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني وإقامة دولة فلسطينية
