President of the Supreme ‘Alawite Islamic Council in Syria and in the Diaspora His Eminence aš-Šayh Ġazāl Ġazāl announced a general and overall strike in all walks of life and to remain at home for 5 days starting from the 8th to the 12th of December in a “peaceful response” to the regime of president Aḥmad aš-Šar‘a.
In a statement aš-Šayh Ġazāl Ġazāl said that “it was believed that the day of the fall would be the fall of enslavement, but what has happened was a real collapse of what has remained from the nation under the pretext of freedom”.
He added: “they want celebration by force to the exchange of sinful regime with an even more sinful one… they have detained, murdered, slit troths, kidnapped and burned and now they are threatening the livelihoods, they divide, expel, spread hate and terrorize to forcefully compel us to participate in celebrations built on our blood and pain to hide their crimes”.
These statements came amidst events in various Syrian regions on the first anniversary of the fall of the previous government led by President Baššār al-Asad.
Earlier aš-Šayh Ġazāl Ġazāl confirmed not to relinquish all the demands and said: “We only ask for what is right and we want nothing else”.
He explained that message was delivered about the right for self determination in a political federation and decentralization, stopping the killings and releasing the thousands of civilian and military detainees.
He also underlined that “any aggression against the ‘Alawī community will not be kept in silence, but will meet a flood and firm chests”. He confirmed saying: “We will not accept a centralized political Islamist Emirate that is murdering our identity”.

أعلن المرجعية الروحية العليا للطائفة العلوية ورئيس المجلس الإسلامي العلوي الأعلى في. سوريا والمهجر العلامة الشيخ غزال غزال، الإضراب العام والشامل في مجالات الحياة كافة، والتزام البيوت. مدة 5 أيام، بدءاً من الثامن حتى الثاني عشر من الشهر الجاري، في “ردٍ سلمي” على نظام الرئيس أحمد الشرع.
وفي بيان، قال الشيخ غزال غزال إنّه “كان من المتوقع أن يكون يوم السقوط، سقوطاً للاستبداد، لكن. ما حدث كان سقوطاً حقيقاً لما تبقّى من هذا الوطن تحت شعار الحرية”.
وأضاف: “يريدون الاحتفال بالإكراه باستبدال نظام ظالم بنظام أشد ظلماً.. اعتقلوا وقتلوا وذبحوا وخطفوا وحرقوا، والآن. يهددون بلقمة العيش، والفصل والنقل والقهر والترهيب، ليجبرونا قسراً على المشاركة. في احتفالات بُنيت على دمائنا وأوجاعنا، لتكميم أفواهنا
وتأتي هذه التصريحات وسط فعاليات تشهدها مختلف المناطق السورية بمناسبة. الذكرى الأولى لسقوط النظام السابق برئاسة بشار الأسد.
وفي وقتٍ سابق، أكد الشيخ غزال غزال عدم التنازل عن تحقيق جميع المطالب، وقال: “لا نطلب. إلا الحقّ ولا نريد سواه”.
وأوضح أنّ الرسالة وصلت بشأن الحقّ في تقرير المصير بالفدرالية واللامركزية السياسية وإيقاف. القتل وإطلاق سراح المعتقلين من آلاف المدنيين والعسكريين.
كما شدّد على أنّ “أيّ اعتداء يطال المكوّن العلوي لن نصمت عنه، بل سيقابل بطوفان. وصدور عارية”، مؤكّداً بالقول: “لن نقبل بإمارة إسلامية سياسية مركزية تذبحنا على الهوية
