Iranian President Ma‘ūd Pezeškiyān confirmed to this Lebanese colleague Joseph ‘Awn during their meeting in Doha the aim of his country to enhance the relations with Lebanon and the rest of the regional states, based on the mutual respect and interests and based on the principle of “gain for all”.

During his meeting with his Lebanese colleague Joseph ‘Awn on the margins of the emergency Arab-Islam Summit to discuss the Israeli aggression against Qatar on Monday, Iranian President Mas‘ūd Pezeškiyān confirmed that his country aims to enlarge the cooperation and enhance the relations with Lebanon and the rest of the regional states based on mutual respect and interests and according to the principle of “gain for all”.

During his negotiations with ‘Awn Pezeškiyān confirmed that “the methods of the Zionist Entity prove that it does not respect anyone and any principle and that “what we see these days is proof of its aggressive and barbaric nature”.

He also believed that those states that “call for the defense of freedom and human rights did not only restrict themself to silence about the killing of the innocent in Gaza and starving it, but provide arming and diplomatic support to this Entity as well”.

The Iranian President hoped that both Tehran and Beirut will manage to enhance their relations based on truth and justice”.

On his behalf the Lebanese President confirmed that his county aims for friendly relations with Iran on the basis of mutual respect and interests, pointing out that disagreeing viewpoints between states are natural and the ongoing understanding and cooperation can contribute to stepping over any complication ahead of the enlarged friendly relations between the two states.

On Sunday night Iranian Foreign Minister ‘Abbās ‘Arāqčī and Lebanese Foreign Minister Yūsaf Rağğī had also met in Doha and addressed the regional developments, especially the genocide that has taken place in occupied Palestine.

The Lebanese Foreign Ministry revealed that “Rağğī explained the government decree to be the sole possessor of weapons and to extend the state sovereignty to all the Lebanese lands”.

Than “ ‘Arāqčī reiterated the position of his country respecting the sovereignty of Lebanon and not to interfere in its matters”. Thus according to the Ministry.

قال الرئيس الإيراني مسعود بزشكيان، خلال لقائه بنظيره اللبناني جوزاف عون على هامش القمة العربية الإسلامية الطارئة لبحث العدوان الإسرائيلي على قطر، اليوم الاثنين، إنّ بلاده تسعى إلى توسيع التعاون، وتعزيز العلاقات مع لبنان وسائر دول المنطقة، على أساس الاحترام والمصالح المتبادلة، ووفق مبدأ “الربح للجميع”.

وأكد بزشكيان، خلال محادثاته مع عون، أن “أداء الكيان الصهيوني يثبت أنه لا يلتزم بأي حد أو قاعدة، وأنّ “ما نراه هذه الأيام هو دليل على طبيعته العدوانية والهمجية”.

كما اعتبر أنّ الدول التي “تدّعي الدفاع عن الحرية وحقوق الإنسان لم تكتفِ بالصمت أمام قتل. الأبرياء في غزة وتجويعها، بل تقدم لهذا الكيان دعماً تسليحياً وقانونياً أيضاً”.

وأمل الرئيس الإيراني أن تتمكن كل من طهران وبيروت. من تعزيز علاقاتهما على أساس الحق والعدالة.

بدوره أكّد الرئيس اللبناني أنّ بلاده تسعى إلى علاقات ودية مع إيران على. أساس الاحترام والمصالح المتبادلة، لافتاً إلى أنّ اختلاف وجهات النظر بين الدول هو أمر طبيعي، والتفاهم. والتعاون المستمر يمكن أن يسمحا بتجاوز أي عقبة أمام توسيع العلاقات الودية بين البلدين.

وأمس الأحد، التقى وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقتشي، واللبناني يوسف. رجّي، في الدوحة أيضاً، وتطرّقا إلى التطوّرات الإقليمية، ولا سيّما ما يجري في فلسطين المحتلة من إبادة جماعية.

وكشفت وزارة الخارجية اللبنانية أنّ “رجّي عرض قرار الحكومة. حصر السلاح بيدها وبسط سيادة الدولة على كامل الأراضي اللبنانية”.
