On Wednesday Iranian President Mas‘ūd Pezeškiyān announced the martyrdom of Intelligence Minister Esmā‘īl Hatībzāde in an American-Israeli aggression on Tuesday.

In a post of X Pezeškiyān mourned a number of Iranian officials, who fell to assassination operations, expressing his deep sorrow for their loss.

Pezeškiyān said that “the treacherous assassination deprived us from our dear colleagues Esmā‘īl Hatībzāde, ‘Alī Lārīğānī and ‘Azīz Naṣīrzāde along with a number of their family members and their guards”.

The Iranian President expressed his warmest condolences to the Iranian people for the martyrdom of the two members of the government, the Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council and a number of military and auxiliary mobilization commanders, confirming his trust that “their path will continue with a force even bigger than before”.

On his behalf Speaker of the Iranian Consultative Council said that the martyrdom of as-Sayyid Hatībzāde once again reveals “the treachery and wickedness of the enemies of Iran”, confirming that the Iranian people know that the policy of assassinations will not close the path for progress.

He pointed out that “the structure of this tree is good, not relying on individuals”, but in a path deep rooted on which the Islamic Republic continues its way, despite the attempted targeted attacks.

Qālībāf confirmed that “these martyrs will liberate the Islamic Revolution from the deadlock the Zionist enemy and the United States of Arrogance drew up”, underlining that the martyrs are the guarantors of victory in this fateful battle.

As-Sayyid Esmā‘īl Hatībzāde had been working in the post of Iranian Minister of Intelligence since 2021. He was a clerical and a security official with an long experience at the security and judicial institutions.

Before that he had taken a number of posts most prominent among them the presidency of the data protection center and the Judicial Authority and working at various security services providing him with an extended experience on the field of intelligence and internal security.

Iranian Defense Minister ‘Azīz Naṣīrzāde had fallen on the first day of the joint aggression against Iran on 28 February with the Leader of the Nation as-Sayyid ‘Alī Hāmeneī and a number of military leaders.

On Tuesday the Iranian television announced the martyrdom of the Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council ‘Alī Lārīğānī with his son and a number of his guards in an American-Israeli aggression.

أعلن الرئيس الإيراني مسعود بزشكيان، اليوم الأربعاء، استشهاد وزير الاستخبارات إسماعيل خطيب، بعدوان أميركي-إسرائيلي يوم أمس.

ونعى بزشكيان، في منشور على منصّة “إكس”، عدداً من المسؤولين الإيرانيين الذين ارتقوا في عمليات اغتيال، معرباً عن حزنه العميق لفقدانهم.

وقال بزشكيان، إنّ “الاغتيال الغادر أفجعنا بزملائنا الأعزاء إسماعيل خطيب، وعلي لاريجاني، وعزيز نصير زاده، إلى جانب عدد من أفراد عائلاتهم والفريق المرافق لهم”.

وتقدّم الرئيس الإيراني بأحرّ التعازي إلى الشعب الإيراني باستشهاد عضوين في الحكومة، وأمين المجلس الأعلى للأمن القومي، وعدد من القادة العسكريين والتعبويين، مؤكداً ثقته بأنّ “نهجهم سيستمرّ بقوة أكبر من ذي قبل

من جانبه، قال رئيس مجلس الشورى الإيراني إنّ استشهاد السيد خطيب يكشف مرةً أخرى “خبث ودناءة أعداء إيران”، مؤكّداً أن الشعب الإيراني يدرك أنّ سياسة الاغتيال لن تغلق الطريق أمام التقدّم.

وأشار إلى أنّ “الهيكلية في هذه الشجرة الطيبة لا تقوم على الأفراد”، بل على مسارٍ متجذّر تواصل فيه الجمهورية الإسلامية طريقها رغم محاولات الاستهداف.

وأكد قاليباف أنّ “هؤلاء الشهداء يحرّرون الثورة الإسلامية من المآزق التي يرسمها العدو الصهيوني والولايات المتحدة المستكبرة”، مشدّداً على أنّ الشهداء يشكّلون ضمانة النصر في هذه المعركة المصيرية.

وشغل السيد إسماعيل خطيب منصب وزير الاستخبارات في إيران منذ عام 2021، وهو رجل دين ومسؤول أمني يمتلك خبرة طويلة في المؤسسات الأمنية والقضائية.

كما تولّى قبل ذلك عدة مناصب، أبرزها رئاسة مركز حماية المعلومات في السلطة القضائية والعمل في أجهزة أمنية مختلفة، ما أكسبه خبرة واسعة في مجالات الاستخبارات والأمن الداخلي.

وكان قد ارتقى وزير الدفاع الإيراني عزيز نصير زاده، في اليوم الأول من العدوان المشترك على إيران في 28 شباط/فبراير الماضي، مع القائد الأمّة الشهيد السيد علي خامنئي وعدد من القيادات العسكرية.

وأمس الثلاثاء، أعلن التلفزيون الإيراني استشهاد الأمين العام للمجلس الأعلى للأمن القومي في إيران علي لاريجاني مع نجله وعدد من مرافقيه بعدوان أميركي-إسرائيلي
