Spokesman of the Russian Presidency Dimitry Peskov confirms the lack of plans to conduct a meeting between the Russian President and his Turkish counterpart in Istanbul, and points out that there are consultations and expert level works between Russia and Turkey about the Syrian Idlib.
Dimitry Peskov, spokesman of the Russian Presidency announced that the itinerary of Russian President Vladimir Putin does not include visit to Istanbul on the next 5 March, or a metering with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan there.
Peskov told to journalists that “until now there are no plans to hold that meeting on 5 March”. Confirming that exactly at that day “President Putin has other work plans”.
He continued: “there are consultations and expert level work between Russia and Turkey, where in the first place they discuss the situation in the Syrian Idlib”.
The Turkish President announced on last Tuesday that a Russian delegation will visit Ankara to study the situation in the Syrian Idlib, pointing out that “until now there is now general agreement about a quadrilateral meeting about Syria on 5 March”.
That comes in light of the announcement of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov renouncing a ceasefire with the terrorists groups in Idlib considering “the ceasefire encourages the terrorist activities and it breaches the international law, which is [would be] a surrender to them”.

وقال بيسكوف للصحفيين إنه “حتى الآن ليس هناك خطط في 5 آذار/مارس لعقد هذا الاجتماع”، مؤكداً أنه في هذا اليوم تحديداً “لدى الرئيس بوتين خطط عمل أخرى
وتابع: هناك مشاورات وأعمال على مستوى الخبراء بين روسيا وتركيا، حيث يناقشون في المقام الأول الوضع في إدلب السورية
وكان الرئيس التركي أعلن، الثلاثاء الماضي، أن وفداً روسياً سيزور أنقرة لبحث الوضع في إدلب السورية، مشيراً إلى أنه “لا اتفاق بشكل كامل حتى الآن على قمة رباعية بشأن سوريا في 5 آذار/مارس
