The Moroccan Prime Minister announces the refusal of his country to any normalization of relations with “Israel”, because that “strengthens its position” in the continued violation of the rights of the Palestinian people.
Moroccan Prime Minister Sa‘ad ad-Dīn al-‘Utmānī announced the refusal of his country to any normalization of relations with “Israel”.
Al-‘Utmānī said in a meeting of the Justice and Development Party to which he belongs that “Morocco refuses any normalization with the Zionist entity, because that strengthens its position in the continued violation of the rights of the Palestinian people”.
Ha made it clear that “the position of Morocco, as far as the king, the government and the people, is to defend the legal rights of the Palestinian people and the Holy al-Aqṣā Mosque, and refuses maneuver of derailing or circumventing the rights of the Palestinians and holy sights, nor the Arab and Islamic nature of the al-Aqṣā Mosque and holy Jerusalem.
The head of the Moroccan government said that “any normalization with the Zionist entity is just another push for it, and stimulation to increase its violations against the rights of the Palestinian people, and to circumventing of these rights, which the whole Islamic community considers as part of it and to be defended”.
These statements come before the visit of Jared Kushner, chief advisor and son in law of American President Donald Trump to the region, after the Emirates and “Israel” reached an agreement of normalization of relations.
The official standing of Morocco is to support a two-state solution with setting up the Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Moroccan ruler VI. Muḥammad also works as President of the Jerusalem Committee set up by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and his father late King II. Ḥasan was also its president.
Morocco and “Israel” stated low level relations in 1993 after Palestine and “Israel” reached a peace settlement, but Rabat froze the relations with “Israel” after the Palestinian intifada in 2000.
It should be mentioned that the Israeli Minister of Intelligence Eli Cohen said the state of the Emirates was only the beginning to attract other Arab states, hinting that among these projected Arab states to sign peace accords with “Israel” there are Gulf states and African Arab states Morocco being at the top of the list.
American President Donald Trump announce on the 13th this month that “a historical peace agreement” was reached between the “Israel” and the Emirates under American oversight, saying on his official page on “Twitter”: “Great relief today! Historical peace agreement between our two great friends, “Israel” and the United Arab Emirates”.

أعلن رئيس الوزراء المغربي سعد الدين العثماني رفض بلاده أي تطبيع للعلاقات مع “إسرائيل
وقال العثماني أمام اجتماع لحزب العدالة والتنمية الذي ينتمي إليه، إن “المغرب يرفض أي تطبيع مع الكيان الصهيوني، لأن ذلك يعزز موقفه في مواصلة انتهاك حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني
وأوضح أن “موقف المغرب ملكاً وحكومة وشعباً هو الدفاع عن الحقوق المشروعة للشعب الفلسطيني والمسجد الأقصى المبارك، ورفض أيّ عملية تهويد أو التفاف على حقوق الفلسطينيين والمقدسيين وعروبة وإسلامية المسجد الأقصى والقدس الشريف
وقال رئيس الحكومة المغربية إن “كل عملية التطبيع مع الكيان الصهيوني هي دفع له وتحفيز كي يزيد في انتهاكه لحقوق الشعب الفلسطيني، والالتفاف على هذه الحقوق التي تعتبر الأمة الإسلامية كلها معنية بها وبالدفاع عنها
تأتي هذه التصريحات قبل زيارة يقوم بها المستشار الكبير وصهر الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب جاريد كوشنر للمنطقة، وبعدما توصّل الإمارات و “إسرائيل” لاتفاق لتطبيع العلاقات
ويتمثل الموقف الرسمي للمغرب في دعم حل الدولتين مع إقامة دولة فلسطينية عاصمتها القدس الشرقية
ويشغل العاهل المغربي محمد السادس منصب رئيس لجنة القدس المنبثقة عن منظمة التعاون الإسلامي، وكان والده الملك الراحل الحسن الثاني رئيساً لها أيضاً
وبدأ المغرب و “إسرائيل” علاقات على مستوى منخفض عام 1993 بعد التوصل لاتفاق سلام بين الفلسطينيين و “إسرائيل”. لكن الرباط جمدت العلاقات مع “إسرائيل” بعد اندلاع الانتفاضة الفلسطينية عام 2000
يذكر أن وزير المخابرات الإسرائيلي، إيلي كوهين قال إن دولة الإمارات كانت البداية لجذب دول عربية أخرى، وأشار إلى أنه من بين الدول العربية المرشحة لتوقيع اتفاق سلام مع “إسرائيل”، دول خليجية ودول عربية أفريقية، وعلى رأسهم المغرب
وكان الرئيس الأميركي، دونالد ترامب، أعلن في 13 من الشهر الجاري، التوصل إلى “اتفاق سلام تاريخي” بين “إسرائيل” والإمارات برعاية أميركية، قائلاً على حسابه الرسمي بـ”تويتر”، “انفراجه كبيرة اليوم! اتفاقية سلام تاريخية بين صديقينا العظيمين، “إسرائيل” والإمارات العربية المتحدة
