Syria and the Occupying Entity hold a ministerial meeting in Azerbaijan in the presence of Syrian foreign minister As‘ad aš-Šaybānī and the minister of the Occupation for strategic affairs Ron Dermer and “Israel” sets a condition it will focus on.

The “AFP” agency announced that it is scheduled that a ministerial meeting is to be hold between Syria and “Israel” on Thursday in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan in the presence of Syrian foreign minister As‘ad aš-Šaybānī and the minister of “Israel” for strategic affairs Ron Dermer.

The agency quoted a diplomat asking not to reveal his identity “for the sensitivity of the matter” that the meeting will focus on “the security situation, especially in Southern Syria”.

This comes following a similar meeting between the two ministers in the French capital Paris last week, and will come after an unprecedented visit by aš-Šaybānī to Moscow on Thursday.

The condition of “Israel” during the meeting

The Israeli “KAN” channel confirmed that “Israel” during the meetings that it held with Syria during the recent period was keen on “Southern Syria currently remaining void of the forces of the new regime”.

Political affairs commentator of the channel Gilly Cohen pointed out that this message was also delivered during the meeting last week.

Cohen explained that “according to an Israeli official he talked to” “Israel clearly stated that the who,e region between as-Suwaydā’ and Damascus must be deprived of arms and without any military presence”.

It should be remembered that according to what the Israeli media confirmed meetings had taken place between president of the interim period in Syria Aḥmad aš-Šar‘a, Syrian officials and Israeli officials in Azerbaijan.

أعلنت وكالة “أ ف ب” أنه من المقرّر أن يعقد اجتماع وزاري بين سوريا و”إسرائيل” يوم الخميس. في باكو عاصمة أذربيجان، وذلك بحضور وزير الخارجية السوري أسعد الشيباني ووزير “إسرائيل” للشؤون الاستراتيجية رون ديرمر.

ونقلت الوكالة عن دبلوماسي، طلب عدم الكشف عن هويته “بسبب حساسية الأمر”، أنّ الاجتماع. سيركّز على “الوضع الأمني وخاصة في جنوب سوريا”.

ويأتي هذا في أعقاب اجتماع مماثل بين الوزيرين في العاصمة الفرنسية باريس الأسبوع. الماضي، وسيأتي بعد زيارة غير مسبوقة للشيباني إلى موسكو يوم الخميس.

شرط “إسرائيل” خلال الاجتماعات

وأكدت قناة “كان” الإسرائيلية أنّ “إسرائيل” تصرّ خلال الاجتماعات التي جرت مع سوريا في. الفترة الأخيرة بأن “يبقى جنوب سوريا  خالياً من قوات النظام الجديد”.

وأشارت معلّقة الشؤون السياسية في القناة غيلي كوهين إلى أنّ هذه الرسالة نُقلت أيضاً خلال. الاجتماع الذي انعقد الأسبوع الماضي.

وأوضحت كوهين، “بحسب مسؤول إسرائيلي تحدّث معها”، أنّ “إسرائيل قالت بشكل واضح. أن كل المنطقة بين السويداء ودمشق يجب أن تكون منزوعة السلاح، أي من دون وجود عسكري”.

ويُذكر أنّ لقاءات حصلت في السابق بين رئيس المرحلة الانتقالية في سوريا أحمد الشرع ومسؤولين. سوريين وبين مسؤولين إسرائيليين، في أذربيجان، وفق ما يؤكد الإعلام الإسرائيلي
