The Israeli media confirmed that the Commander of the “Nāḥāl” Brigade (one of the elite Israeli brigades) was killed during a clash with one of the Palestinian resistance fighters close to Karam Abū Sālim.
The official account of the Israeli “Army” on the X platform (formerly Twitter) reported that Steinberg, age 42 was on his way to exchange fire under his leadership with Palestinian resistance fighters, he was confronted by a Palestinian resistance fighter and got killed during a firefight close to Karam Abū Sālim.
At the same time, the Israeli media announced that a military vehicle had turned upside down in ‘Asqalān and that a number of injuries had happened.
Head of the Israeli Occupation’s government Benjamin Netanyahu in his speech confirmed that “this is a hard day for us all (in “Israel”) to which have not seen similar”.

Following this, the Israeli media confirmed that more than at least 250 Israelis have died and 1100 got injured until then.
On its behalf, “Channel 13” explained that the current number of Israeli deaths “is just the tip of the iceberg about the real number”.
The Israeli media confirmed that “the number of deaths and the missiles since Saturday morning in Israel is more than the number of deaths and missiles in the second Lebanese war during the 33 days of the fighting”.
The Israeli media had announced earlier on Saturday that “there are dozens who disappeared who are being looked for after the sudden attack of the Palestinians”. According to the emergency services of the Occupation, there are hundreds of injuries and dozens of deaths, while some of them haven’t even been reached.
It pointed out that the number of Israeli deaths in the Palestinian operation “is big and cannot even be determined”.

This comes after the General Commander of the al-Qassām Battalions Muḥamamad aḍ-Ḍayf had announced on Saturday morning that Operation “Ṭūfān al-Aqṣā [The Flood of al-Aqsa]” has started, confirming “launching 5000 missiles and grenades against Israel”.
The Palestinian resistance fighters have kidnapped a large number of Israeli soldiers and settlers, while a large number of the occupying forces have been killed and they raided a number of settlements around Gaza.

أكد الإعلام الإسرائيلي، السبت، مقتل قائد لواء “ناحال” (أحد ألوية النخبة الإسرائيلية)، يهونتان شتاينبرغ، خلال اشتباك مع أحد المقاومين الفلسطينيين، قرب كرم أبو سالم.
وأورد الحساب الرسمي لـ”الجيش” الإسرائيلي، في منصة “إكس” (تويتر سابقاً)، أنّ شتاينبرغ، البالغ 42 عاماً، كان في طريقه لتبادل إطلاق النار الذي قام به مرؤوسوه مع المقاومين الفلسطينين، فواجه مقاوماً فلسطينياً وقُتل، خلال تبادل إطلاق النار، قرب كرم أبو سالم.
بالتوازي، أعلنت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية انقلاب آلية عسكرية في عسقلان، مؤكدةً وقوع عددٍ من المصابين.
وكان رئيس حكومة الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، بنيامين نتنياهو، أكد، في كلمة له، أنّ “هذا يوم صعب لنا جميعاً (في “إسرائيل”)، ولم نرَ مثله
في غضون ذلك، أكد الإعلام الإسرائيلي وقوع أكثر من 250 قتيلاً إسرائيلياً و1100 جريح، على الأقل، حتى الآن.
من جهتها، أوضحت “القناة الـ ـ13” أنّ العدد الحالي للقتلى الإسرائيليين “هو رأس جبل الجليد فقط من العدد الحقيقي”.
وأكدت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية أنّ “عدد القتلى والصواريخ، منذ صباح اليوم، في إسرائيل، هو أكبر من عدد كل القتلى والصواريخ في حرب لبنان الثانية، خلال 33 يوماً من القتال”.
وكان الإعلام الإسرائيلي أعلن سابقاً، السبت، أنّ “هناك عشرات المفقودين، الذين يجري البحث عنهم، بعد الهجوم المفاجئ للفلسطينيين”. وبحسب تقدير أجهزة طوارئ الاحتلال، فإنّ هناك مئات المصابين وعشرات القتلى، وبعضهم لم يتمّ الوصول إليه.
