Iraqi Prime Minister Muṣṭafā al-Kāẓimī said today, on Thursday that the strategic negotiations between Iraq and America will rely on the opinion of the highest religious authorities, the Parliament and the Iraqi needs.

Al-Kāẓimī confirmed in a press conference today that “the government relies on the preservation of the Iraqi sovereignty in the negotiations with America”.
He added that the Iraqi side will concentrate in the talks on the sovereignty and stressed that Iraq will be a field of peace and not a field of struggle between external powers. Al-Kāẓimī believed that the realization of the sovereignty and the safeguarding of the interests of the country are the priorities of these negotiations.
Commenting the pension cuts, al-Kāẓimī confirmed saying “73% of the retired will receive their full pension, and the cuts are because of lack of liquidity, they will receive it later”. He continued with that “the cuts in the retirement pensions will be looked over in the next few days”.

قال رئيس الوزراء العراقي مصطفى الكاظمي اليوم الخميس، ان الحوار الاستراتيجي بين العراق وأمريكا سيعتمد على رأي المرجعية الدينية العليا والبرلمان وحاجة العراق
واكد الكاظمي في مؤتمر صحفي اليوم أن “الحكومة تعتمد على حفظ السيادة العراقية في الحوار مع اميركا
واضاف ان الجانب العراقي سيركز في الحوار على السيادة، وشدد على ان يكون العراق ساحة سلام وليس ساحة للصراع بين القوى الخارجية. واعتبر الكاظمي أن تحقيق السيادة ومراعاة مصلحة البلاد من اولويات هذا الحوار
وتعليقاً على الاستقطاع من رواتب المتقاعدين اكد الكاظمي بالقول” 73 بالمئة من المتقاعدين تسلموا رواتب كاملة والاستقطاعات عبارة عن عدم وجود سيولة وستسلم لاحقاً”، منوها الى ان” الاستقطاعات من رواتب المتقاعدين سنعيدها خلال الأيام المقبلة
