Insightful media sources in Damascus reported that a high-level Russian delegation lead by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov will arrive in Damascus next Monday in a several hours long work visit and during that it will meet President Baššār al-Asad and many of Syrian high officials.
Borisov will be accompanied by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his deputy Mikhail Bogdanov. The sources pointed out that the meeting will last several hours and there will be a joint press conference at the end between al-Mu‘allim and Lavrov.
The source said: The meeting will have an economic and political nature, as Moscow rejects the sanctions imposed on the Syrian people and it works with its international partners to stop, or to ease them by aids and agreements signed with the Syrian side.
It should be remembered that this is the first by Lavrov to Damascus since 2012.

قالت مصادر اعلامية مطلعة في دمشق أن وفداً روسياً رفيع المستوى برئاسة نائب رئيس الوزراء الروسي يوري بوريسوف سيصل دمشق يوم الإثنين القادم في زيارة عمل تستمر عدة ساعات يلتقي خلالها الرئيس بشار الأسد وعدداً من كبار المسؤولين السوريين
وسيرافق بوريسوف وزير الخارجية الروسي سيرغي لافروف ومعاونه ميخائيل بوغدانوف. المصادر بينت إن الزيارة ستستمر عدة ساعات وسيعقد في ختامها مؤتمر صحفي مشترك للوزيرين المعلم ولافروف
وقال المصدر: إن الزيارة تأخذ طابعاً اقتصادياً وسياسياً، إذ ترفض موسكو العقوبات المفروضة على الشعب السوري، وتعمل مع شركائها الدوليين على إلغائها أو التخفيف منها من خلال مساعدات واتفاقيات توقعها مع الجانب السوري
يذكر أن هذه أول زيارة للوزير لافروف إلى دمشق منذ عام ٢٠١٢
