Egyptian Foreign Minister Sāmiḥ aš-Šukrī in a smaller ministerial meeting about Syria expressed his deep concern about the continuation of “the destructive intrusion by some regional sides in Syria”.

Spokesman of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Aḥmad Ḥāfiẓ mentioned that Šukrī confirmed saying: “The Turkish presence in Syria not only means a threat to Syria alone but also seriously harms the whole region. Therefore there can be no tolerance for plans to spread radicalism and about the phenomenon of transporting foreign terrorist fighters”.
He announced the Egyptian support for the efforts to strengthen the work of the constitutional council in the end achieving the desired goals, as its importance is to move constantly on the political path at different levels. Thus he stressed Egypt’s refusal to any attempts to bring about any forced demographic changes in Syria.

أعرب وزير الخارجية المصري سامح شكري، في اجتماع وزاري للمجموعة المصغرة حول سوريا، عن القلق العميق من استمرار “التدخل الهدام لبعض الأطراف الإقليمية في سوريا
وذكر المتحدث الرسمي باسم وزارة الخارجية المصرية أحمد حافظ، أن شكري أكد أن “التواجد التركي في سوريا لا يمثل فقط تهديدا لسوريا وحدها وإنما يضر بشدة بالمنطقة بأسرها، ومن ثم لا ينبغي التسامح مع مخططات تأجيج التطرف ومع ظاهرة نقل المقاتلين الإرهابيين الأجانب
وأعلن مساندة مصر للجهود الرامية إلى تعزيز عمل اللجنة الدستورية وصولا إلى تحقيق أهدافها المرجوة، وعلى أهمية الدفع قدما بالمسار السياسي بمختلف أبعاده، مشددا على رفض مصر لأي محاولات لإجراء تغييرات ديموغرافية قسرية في سوريا
