Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will open new gates to the bilateral ties between Ankara and Riyadh.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said in a series of posts on Twitter that his visit to Saudi Arabia “will open gates for a new era with the kingdom, the friend and brother”.
Erdoğan added: “We, as two brotherly nations tied together by historical, cultural and humanitarian relations take huge efforts to strengthen all forms of the political, military and economic relations, and on the beginning of a new era between us”. Thus he expressed his trust that the relations between the two countries will reach up to “a level much higher than it was in the past”.
He continued: “The increase of cooperation between Turkey and Saudi Arabia on fields like healthcare, energy, food security, agricultural technology, defense industry, and finance are all for the common benefit of the two countries”.

He confirmed the desire of Turkey for the security and stability of the Gulf region, saying: “We confirm on every occasion that we are invested in the importance of stability and security for our brothers in the Gulf region, just like we are invested in the importance of our own stability and security”.
Erdoğan arrived in Saudi Arabia on Thursday night on an official visit, which will last two days and he was welcomed by Saudi King Salmān ibn ‘Abd al-‘Azīz.
Shortly before heading to Saudi Arabia the Turkish President announced that his country and Saudi Arabia will launch “a new era” to strengthen the bilateral ties, thus pointing out his intention to work on “reforming the relations with Saudi Arabia to a period much better than before”.

الرئيس التركي رجب طيب إردوغان يؤكد أنّ زيارته للسعودية ستفتح أبواباً جديدة أمام العلاقات الثنائية بين أنقرة والرياض.
قال الرئيس التركي رجب طيب إردوغان، في سلسلة تغريدات في “تويتر”، إنّ زيارته للسعودية “ستفتح الأبواب أمام عهد جديد مع المملكة الصديقة والشقيقة”.
وأضاف إردوغان: “إننا، كدولتين شقيقتين تربطهما علاقات تاريخية وثقافية وإنسانية، نبذل جهوداً حثيثةً من أجل تعزيز جميع أنواع العلاقات السياسية والعسكرية والاقتصادية وبدء حقبة جديدة بيننا”، معرباً عن ثقته بأنّ العلاقات بين البلدين سترتفع إلى “مستوى أفضل مما كانت عليه في الماضي”.
وتابع: “زيادة التعاون بين تركيا والسعودية في مجالات مثل الصحة والطاقة والأمن الغذائي وتكنولوجيا الزراعة والصناعات الدفاعية والتمويل ستصب في المصلحة المشتركة للبلدين”.
وأكّد حرص تركيا على أمن منطقة الخليج واستقرارها، قائلاً: “نحن نؤكد في كل مناسبة أنّنا نولي أهمية لاستقرار أشقائنا في منطقة الخليج وأمنهم، مثلما نولي أهمية لاستقرارنا وأمننا
ووصل إردوغان مساء الخميس إلى السعودية، في زيارة رسمية تستغرق يومين، وكان في استقباله الملك السعودي سلمان بن عبد العزيز.
وقبيل توجهه إلى السعودية، صرّح الرئيس التركي بأنّ بلاده والسعودية ستبدآن “حقبة جديدة” لتعزيز العلاقات الثنائية، مشيراً إلى نيّته العمل على “إعادة العلاقات مع السعودية إلى مرحلة أفضل من السابق
