The satellite images that was evaluated by the Associated Press show that the Iranian attack against the American al-‘Udayd base may have hit a geodetic dome holding equipment used by the Americans for secure communications.

The Associated Press news agency revealed satellite images that was evaluated showing that the Iranian attack against the American “al-‘Udayd” air base in Qatar may have hit a geodetic dome containing equipment used by the Americans for safe communications.
The satellite images by the “Planet Labs BBC” showed a geodetic dome visible at the “al-‘Udayd” base on the morning of 23 June few hours before the attack.
The 379 Reconnaissance Air Wing of the American air force that is operating from the base had announced equipping this dome in 2016 with equipment of the value of $15 million, known by the name of “modernized base unit”.
The images taken by the satellite from the same position shows the inside of the dome known as “raider dome”, and also the one taken on 25 June that was published one day later that the dome disappeared, also showing some damages in the neighboring buildings.
According to the agency probably wreckages, or something similar might have hit the dome, but looking at the level of destruction that hit it it is more probable that this was caused by the Iranian attack, or possibly a drone carrying bombs in light of the visible limited damages that had effected the surrounding structures.
The agency mentioned the announcement of Aḥmad ‘Alam al-Hudā, advisor to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic and Revolution as-Sayyid ‘Alī Hāmeneī statin that the communications at the base was cut because of the attack.
The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards had announced on 23 June that it targeted the “al-‘Udayd” base on Qatar with “a destructive and strong missile attack” within Operation “Rejoice of Liberation”, which was a response of the latest American aggression targeting 3 peaceful nuclear sites in Iran.
