The leader of the Ṣadrī Movement in Iraq Muqtada aṣ-Ṣadr calls for massive participation by millions in the next legislative elections and says “we shall mobilize for it with unprecedented will and determination”.
The leader of the Ṣadrī Movement in Iraq Muqtada aṣ-Ṣadr announced on Friday that he returned to take part in the Iraqi elections saying: “we shall mobilize for it with unprecedented will and determination”.
Aṣ-Ṣadr also called for massive participation by millions in the next legislative elections in Iraq.
At the same time the “An-Naṣr Coalition” welcomed the the return of the Ṣadrī Movement to the participation in the upcoming elections and viewed that this return as a national service towards a massive popular participation in the elections.
The “An-Naṣr Coalition”also called on the people to massive election participation to make the reform and change possible, stressing the necessity by the delegates and the political parties to hold a transparent election by the just protocols detached from seeking positions in the state, political capital or the policy of enforcing will upon others.
An Iraqi political source close to the Iraqi government said few days ago that Iraqi head of government Muṣṭafā al-Kāẓimī that “he might relinquish his insistence to hold the legislative elections in the country scheduled to 10 October if the leader of the Ṣadrī Movement in Iraq Muqtada aṣ-Ṣadr insists not to take part in it.
The Russian “Sputnik” News Agency reported on a source saying “there are two important sides in the elections scenarios. They are the Ṣadrī Movement and Prime Minister Muṣṭafā al-Kāẓimī“. Thus pointing out that “in case the Ṣadrī Movement does not participate that will push Muṣṭafā al-Kāẓimī not to support the elections be held on the scheduled 10 October, as he is supported by the Ṣadrī Movement”.
Interesting to note that on 15 July Muqtada aṣ-Ṣadr announced that he will not take part in the next Iraqi elections and will not support any party.
The Iraqi legislative elections will be held on next 10 October. The Supreme Independent Electoral Commission the final count of the electoral centers and the offices for elections’ registry.
The Commission said that “it will take upmost severe legal measures against all those undermining the trust of the voters in the process, or spread devious rumors to upset the participation in the next parliamentary elections”.

زعيم التيار الصدري في العراق مقتدى الصدر يدعو لمشاركة واسعة ومليونية في الانتخابات النيابية المقبلة، ويقول “سنخوضها بعزم وإصرار لا مثيل له”.
أعلن زعيم التيار الصدري في العراق، مقتدى الصدر، اليوم الجمعة العودة إلى المشاركة في الانتخابات العراقية، قائلاً “سنخوضها بعزم وإصرار لا مثيل له”.
كما دعا الصدر إلى مشاركة واسعة ومليونية في الانتخابات النيابية المقبلة في العراق.
هذا ورحب “ائتلاف النصر” بعودة التيار الصدري للمشاركة بالانتخابات القادمة، ويرى بالعودة زخماً وطنياً باتجاه مشاركة شعبية واسعة بالإنتخابات.
كما دعا “ائتلاف النصر” الشعب إلى مشاركة إنتخابية واسعة لتمكين الإصلاح والتغيير، مشدداً على ضرورة إلتزام المفوضية والقوى السياسية بإجراء إنتخابات نزيهة وفق معايير عادلة بعيداً عن توظيف إمكانات الدولة أو المال السياسي أو سياسة فرض الإرادات.
وكان مصدر سياسي عراقي مقرّب من الحكومة العراقية، قال منذ أيام إنّ رئيس الحكومة العراقية مصطفى الكاظمي “قد يتخلّى عن تمسّكه بإجراء الانتخابات التشريعية في البلاد في موعدها المقرّر في العاشر من تشرين الأول/أكتوبر المقبل، إذا أصرّ زعيم التيار الصدري في العراق، مقتدى الصدر، على عدم المشاركة فيها”.
ونقلت وكالة “سبوتنيك” الروسية عن المصدر قوله إنّ “هناك طرفين مهمين في فرضية الانتخابات، هما التيّار الصدري ورئيس الوزراء مصطفى الكاظمي”، مشيراً إلى أنّ “عدم مشاركة التيار الصدري سيدفع الكاظمي إلى عدم تأييد إجراء الانتخابات في موعدها المقرَّر في العاشر من تشرين الأول/أكتوبر المقبل، لأنه مدعوم من التيار الصدري”.
الجدير بالذكر أنه في 15 تموز/يوليو الماضي، أعلن السيد، مقتدى الصدر، أنّه لن يشارك في الانتخابات العراقية المقبلة، ولن يدعم أي حزب.
وتجري الانتخابات التشريعية العراقية في 10 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر المقبل. وأعلنت المفوضية العليا المستقلة للانتخابات تحديدَ الأعداد النهائية لمراكز الاقتراع ومحطاتها التابعة لمراكز التسجيل الانتخابية.
وقالت المفوضية إنها “ستتخذ الإجراءات القانونية الملائمة بحقّ كلّ من يعمل على زعزعة ثقة الناخبين بعملها، ويبثّ الشائعات الرامية إلى إعاقة المشاركة الفاعلة في الانتخابات البرلمانية المقبلة”.
