Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Republic of Iran as-Sayyid ‘Alī Hāmeneī receives Emir of Qatar Tamīm ibn Ḥamad Āl Tānī.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Republic of Iran as-Sayyid ‘Alī Hāmeneī confirmed that the announced policies of the government of Pezeškiyān is to enhance the relations with the neighboring states and in that framework good phases have been reached.

While receiving Emir of Qatar Tamīm ibn Ḥamad Āl Tānī as-Sayyid Hāmeneī said that Iranian Foreign Minister ‘Abbās ‘Arāqčī has been very active in this field, underlining that “the firm policy of Iran is to enhance the relations with the neighboring states”.

As-Sayyid Hāmeneī called for “channeling the ongoing agreement for the interest of the two states”, considering Qatar as “a friendly and brotherly state to Iran, despite some of the pending issues that haven’t been solved until now, like recovering the Iranian funds that had been transferred from South Korea to Qatar”.

He added: “We know that the United States is the one that is prohibiting the implementation of this agreement, though if we were in Qatar’s position we would not care about the American pressures”. Thus underlining that “there is no difference between the American presidents from Iran’s point of view”.

On his behalf the Emir of Qatar said that his country “values the position of the Iranian side supporting the oppressed people of the world and the Palestinian people”, just like “it’s stance by the Palestinians people that we cannot forget ever”.

أكد قائد الثورة والجمهورية الإسلامية في إيران، السيد علي خامنئي، أنّ السياسات المعلنة لحكومة بزشكيان. هي تعزيز العلاقات بدول الجوار، وأنّه تمّ التوصل إلى مراحل جيدة في هذا السياق.

وخلال استقباله أمير قطر، تميم بن حمد آل ثاني، قال السيد خامنئي إنّ وزير الخارجية الإيراني، عباس. عراقتشي، نشط وفعال في هذا المجال، مشدداً على أنّ “سياسة إيران الثابتة هي تعزيز العلاقة بدول الجوار”.

ودعا السيد خامنئي إلى أنّ “تصب الاتفاقات الجارية في مصلحة البلدين”، عادّاً قطر “دولة صديقة وشقيقة. لإيران، على الرغم من بعض القضايا المبهمة والتي لم تُحَلّ إلى الآن، كاسترجاع أموال إيران المنقولة من كوريا الجنوبية إلى قطر”.

وأضاف: “نعلم بأنّ الولايات المتحدة هي التي تمنع تنفيذ هذا الاتفاق، ولو كنا بدلاً من قطر لما اهتممنا. بالضغوط الأميركية”، مشدداً على أنّه “لا يوجد فارق بين رؤساء أميركا بالنسبة إلى طهران”.

بدوره، قال أمير قطر إنّ بلاده “تثمّن مواقف الجانب الإيراني الداعمة لمستضعفي العالم. والشعب الفلسطيني”، كما أنّ “وقوفها إلى جانب الشعب الفلسطيني لا يمكن نسيانه أبداً
