In a post on his X account ‘Arāqči thanked the Sultanate of Oman for arranging all necessary arrangements.
In the same context the Reuters news agency cited an American official saying that the American-Iranian nuclear talks “will be held in Oman in Friday”.
At the same time the Axios website removed what it had cited earlier about “the collapse of the negotiations” and the website again stated that “the plans to hold nuclear negotiations between the United States and Iran on Friday are back on track”.

He also pointed out that Tehran wants to start the negotiations right where they ended in Oman, pointing it out that there is a current inside Iran that believes that Washington “might repeat what had happened with the previous negotiations”.
