Iranian Foreign Minister ‘Abbās ‘Arāqčī reports that his country agreed with Washington on continuing the negotiations describing the atmosphere of the negotiations as “positive”.

On Friday Iranian Foreign Minister ‘Abbās ‘Arāqčī reported that his country agreed with Washington on continuing the negotiations, pointing out that its time and and manner shall be discussed in the later conciliations that shall be held through the Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Būsa‘īdī, describing the atmosphere of the negotiations as “positive”, saying: “We can sum it up saying: the beginning was good”.

‘Arāqčī told the Iranian television that the two sides delivered their views “in a positive atmosphere”.

He stated: “If this format and this vision contained by the other side than in the upcoming sessions we can reach an agreeable framework for these negotiations about the suggested matters”.

He pointed out that Tehran delivered its barriers and also its interests it deems important and that must be raised, and also listened to the viewpoints of the other side talking about long and intensive negotiations in numerous sessions to be held in an indirect fashion.

‘Arāqčī confirmed that the great lack of trust that culminated in this period country’s to be a heavy burden for the negotiations, pointing out that these concerns have to be overcome to make it possible to draw up a new format for the negotiations achieving the interests of the Iranian people.

He rejected giving an judgement in advance for now stating his opinion that “it was a good beginning and it can have a good continuation, but that relies on the other side and of course on the decisions Tehran is about to take”.

He applauded the efforts of al-Būsa‘īdī, “for the great hospitality and for delivering the views and the messages between the two sides”.

Arāqčī to the IRNA news agency: The matter of our negotiations is only the nuclear case

Talking to the official Iranian IRNA news agency ‘Arāqčī said: “the matter of our discussions were only the nuclear case and we don’t have negotiations about any other matter with the Americans”.

He continued saying: “We mentioned that the holding nuclear negotiations and solving the main matters must happen in a calm atmosphere without tensions or threats”.

He underlined that “the condition for any negotiations is the absence of threat, or pressure”, adding that this point was clearly raised today and “we expect that it would surely be respected to provide the possibility to continue the negotiations”.

The first round had ended

In the same context official spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmā‘īl Baqā’ī pointed out in a post on X that the session of negotiations between Iran and the United States in Muscat has ended with the understanding of both sides that the negotiations would continue”.

He added that after both sides provided their viewpoints and their requests they agreed to outline the next round of negotiations after consultations with their capitals.

Būsa‘īdī: useful negotiations

The Omani Foreign Minister confirmed that on Friday in Muscat very serious negotiations took place in mediation between Iran and the United States, describing them as useful in explaining the expectations by both the Iranian and the American sides outlining the fields in which progress can be achieved”.

He added saying: we aims to relaunch these negotiations at the appropriate time so that the results can be studied with care in Tehran and Washington.

The first session of indirect negotiations have started on Friday between Iran and the United States in Muscat, where ‘Arāqčī confirmed that the path of Iran is to follow a diplomatic operation to achieve the national interests.

This session counts to be the first since the aggression that was launched by “Israel” and the United States against Iran in June during the 12 days war and comes after a turmoil that overtook the region because of the American threats to launching and aggression against the Islamic Republic.

أفاد وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقتشي، اليوم الجمعة، بأن بلاده. توافقت مع واشنطن على مواصلة المفاوضات، مشيراً إلى أنّ توقيتها وكيفيتها ستُبحثان في المشاورات اللاحقة التي ستجري. عبر وزير خارجية عمان بدر البوسعيدي، واصفاً أجواء المحادثات. بـ “الإيجابية”، قائلاً: “يمكنني أن أختصر بالقول: كانت بداية جيدة”.

وقال عراقتشي للتلفزيون الإيراني إن الطرفين. نقلا وجهات نظرهما في “أجواء إيجابية”.

وأردف: “إذا استمر هذا النهج وهذه الرؤية لدى الطرف المقابل، فيمكننا في. الجلسات المقبلة التوصل إلى إطار متفق عليه لهذه الحوارات. بشأن القضايا المطروحة”.

وأشار إلى أنّ طهران نقلت هواجسها وكذلك المصالح التي تهمّها وكل. ما كان ينبغي طرحه، كما جرى الاستماع إلى وجهات نظر الطرف. المقابل، متحدثاً عن حوارات طويلة ومكثفة وجلسات متعددة عُقدت. بصورة غير مباشرة.

وأكد عراقتشي أن حالة انعدام الثقة الكبيرة التي نشأت خلال هذه الفترة. تُعدّ تحدياً ثقيلاً أمام المفاوضات، مشيراً إلى وجوب التغلب. على هذه الأجواء، للتمكن من تصميم إطار لحوار جديد يلبّي مصالح الشعب الإيراني.

ورفض إصدار حكم مسبق من الآن، قائلاً إنه في رأيه “كانت بداية جيدة، ويمكن. أن تكون لها أيضاً مواصلة جيدة، إلا أن ذلك يعتمد. على الطرف المقابل، وبالطبع على القرارات التي ستُتخذ في طهران”.

وفي حديثه إلى وكالة “إرنا” الإيرانية الرسمية  قال عراقتشي: “موضوع محادثاتنا هو. الملف النووي فقط، وليس لدينا أي حوار بشأن أي قضية أخرى مع الأميركيين”.

وتابع قائلاً: “ذكرنا أن إجراء المحادثات النووية وحل القضايا الرئيسية يجب. أن يتما في أجواء هادئة، من دون توتر أو تهديد”.

وشدد على أنّ “شرط أي حوار هو الامتناع عن التهديد والضغط”. مضيفاً أنّ هذه النقطة طُرحت اليوم بصراحة، و”نتوقع. أن تُراعى بالتأكيد حتى تتوافر إمكانية مواصلة الحوارات”.

انتهاء جولة المفاوضات

وفي السياق عينه، أشار المتحدث باسم الخارجية الإيرانية إسماعيل بقائي في منشور عبر “إكس” إلى انتهاء. جولة المفاوضات بين إيران والولايات المتحدة في مسقط بتفاهم الطرفين. على مواصلة الحوارات. 

وأضاف أنّه بعد أن عرض الجانبان وجهات نظرهما ومطالبهما، اتفقا على تحديد. موعد الجولة المقبلة من المحادثات بالتشاور مع. عواصم البلدين.

بوسعيدي: مباحثات مفيدة

وزير الخارجية العماني أكد أنّه اليوم جرت في مسقط محادثات جادة للغاية. بالوساطة بين إيران والولايات المتحدة، واصفاً إياها بالمفيدة في توضيح تصورات كلٍّ من الجانبين الإيراني. والأميركي وتحديد مجالات التقدم الممكنة.

وأضاف قائلاً: نسعى إلى استئناف هذه المحادثات في الوقت المناسب، على. أن تُدرس نتائجها بعناية في طهران وواشنطن.

وكانت قد انطلقت اليوم، الجولة الأولى من المفاوضات غير المباشرة بين. إيران والولايات المتحدة في مسقط، حيث أكّد عراقتشي. أنّ نهج إيران هو متابعة العملية الدبلوماسية لتحقيق المصالح القومية.
