Iraqi Media sources affirmed the arrest of a cell to the Emirates in Iraq, which intended to effect the presently ongoing protests. Some of its members carried Lebanese citizenship.

As the “Sound of Iraq Radio [Rādīū Ṣawt al-‘Irāq]” revealed that the cell’s members, which was arrested, directly connected to the Emirati National Security Adviser Ṭaḥnūn ibn Zāyid, and was performing [the cell] was conducting activities, which targeted the Iraqi state.
Private sources said to the Arabic site “21”, which also delivered the news that the most significant among the arrestees was (A. ‘.) has a trusted relationship with Ṭaḥnūn and the former leader in the Fataḥ Movement, Muḥammad Daḥlān.
The “Sound of Iraq Radio” affirmed that the brother of the Crown Prince of Abū Zabī [Ṭaḥnūn ibn Zāyid-hoz] now conducts calls via Western sides to solve the matter.

اكدت مصادر اعلامية عراقية اعتقال خلية تابعة للإمارات في العراق، كانت تهدف إلى التأثير في التظاهرات الجارية حاليا، من بين أفرادها أشخاص يحملون الجنسية اللبنانية

كما كشف “راديو صوت العراق” بأن الخلية التي تم اعتقال افرادها مرتبطة مباشرة بمستشار الأمن الوطني الإماراتي، طحنون بن زايد، وتدير أنشطة تستهدف الدولة العراقية
وقالت مصادر خاصة لموقع عربي “21” الذي نشر الخبر ايضا ان أبرز المعتقلين (أ. ع.) تربطه علاقة وثيقة بطحنون وبالقيادي المفصول من حركة فتح، محمد دحلان
وأكد “راديو صوت العراق” أن شقيق ولي عهد أبوظبي يجري حاليا اتصالات عبر أطراف غربية لتسوية القضية
