An American officer in charge of the landing site in the American Base at the al-‘Umar oilfield in the northern countryside of Dayr az-Zūr was killed after unknown people targeted a “Hummer” convoy with projectiles.
An American officer and two fighters of the so-called “Syrian Democratic Forces” got killed, while other got injured in an ambush they suffered in the village of al-Wasī‘a in the region of aṣ-Ṣūr in the northern countryside of Dayr az-Zūr.
The “al-Mayadeen net” learned from reliable sources that the Americans vehicles were progressing from the American base in the directorate of the al-Ğabasa fields in the city of aš-Šadādī in the southern section of al-Ḥasaka towards the American base in the al-‘Umar oilfield in Eastern Dayr at-Zūr, before it was ambushed at the village of al-Wasī‘a.
The sources confirmed that the attack was performed by unknown people with “RPG” projectiles, which targeted an American “Hummer” vehicle. That lead to the death of an American officer, fighters of “Qasad” and ten injuries of others.
According to the sources, the killed officer was responsible for the landing site in the American Base at the al-‘Umar oilfield.
The eastern and the northern countrysides of Dayr az-Zūr, and the southern countryside of al-Ḥasaka, all the way to the Syrian-Iraqi border under the control of “Qasad” witnesses chaos in result of the noticeable activity of the Dā‘iš organization’s cells.
At the same time of the attack an unknown armed group, believed to be a cell of the Dā‘iš organization staged an attack against a checkpoint belonging to “Qasad” in the village of al-Muwayliḥ in the southern countryside of al-Ḥasaka, though without any information on the casualties on both sides.

وعلم “الميادين نت” من مصادر موثوقة أن الآليات الأميركية كانت تتحرك من القاعدة الأميركية في مديرية حقول الجبسة في مدينة الشدادي بريف الحسكة الجنوبي، باتجاه القاعدة الأميركية الموجودة في حقل العمر النفطي بريف ديرالزور الشرقي، قبل أن تتعرض لكمين في قرية الوسيعة
وأكدت المصادر أن الهجوم نُفّذ من قبل مجهولين بواسطة قذيفة “آر بي جي”، استهدفت عربة “هامر” أميركية، ما أدى إلى مقتل الضابط الأميركي وعناصر من “قسد” وإصابة آخرين
ووفق المصادر، فإن الضابط المقتول هو مسؤول الإنزال الجوي في القاعدة الأميركية في حقل العمر
وتشهد أرياف ديرالزور الشمالية والشرقية، وريف الحسكة الجنوبي، وصولاً للحدود السورية العراقية والخاضعة لسيطرة “قسد”، حالة فوضى نتيجة النشاط الملحوظ لخلايا تنظيم “داعش
وبالتوازي مع الهجوم، نفذت مجموعة مسلحة مجهولة يُعتقد أنها من خلايا تنظيم “داعش” هجوماً على حاجز لـ”قسد” في قرية المويلح التابعة لريف الحسكة الجنوبي، دون معلومات عن حجم الخسائر في صفوف الطرفين
